My 2023 Maverick order Canceled

I ordered My 2023 Maverick hybrid on 09-19-22 and have checked on it at least once a month, sometimes four times a month. Today when I called Ford Customer Service I was put on hold twice then they finally came back and said they couldn't find my order but they would give me a gift card for my trouble.. They said I needed to call my dealer, I called the dealer and they said they hadn't canceled it. My dealer said they had all of the paper work on my truck and it should still be on order. They are calling Ford and will let me know something today. Why would Ford cancel my order?

If the dealer sees it and the priority code is good then it’s in there…. Probably a miscommunication with Ford Customer service call.

Probably miscommunication from Ford CS rep.

When I was in the chat with Ford CS to inquire what my priority code was to verify my order was still good they initially said they could not find my order.

I again gave them the Sales and Order Code along with COVP Approval with Date, Tracking Number, Order Number, Name, Authorization Number and Approved Status.

Then they found my order and stated that my priority code was 12.

I usually call 1 800 334 4375 - Ford Marketing. Have you called them?

I usually call 1 800 334 4375 - Ford Marketing. Have you called them?
That is the number I called when I was told my order didn't exist.

Have your dealer call their regional sales and inentory manager to see what their system shows.

The customer service personnel don't always have/give accurate info.

Also, ask your dealer to give you a higher priority code, preferably a 10. 19 is the default most dealers use, the lower the number the better/higher priority. Dealers can use 10-19

Sorry you're going through all the uncertainty of your order. I went through exactly the same thing with my Lariat FX4 order on Oct 7, 2021. My dealer said it's still on order so I called Ford & spoke to them & they said they would call me back after a day they called back & said someone from my dealer canceled my order & a week later they re-ordered another Maverick under my name & I should be getting a confirmation e-mail. Long story short my dealer screwed up & canceled my original order for my FX4 Lariat. When the car was delivered it was the wrong color, wrong model, XLT vs a Lariat. I was so pissed at the dealership because they lied to me that they didn't cancel my order. It ended up working in my favor because the Tremor model just came out & the order bank would open up in Sept 2022. I made sure the dealer ordered my Lariat Tremor. Ford confirmed the order & on April 2023 my Tremor arrived at my dealership & it was exactly what I ordered & I paid msrp for it. Ford followed up & called me to make sure that it was the right model & color, & I said yes. Ford also informed me that they won't cancel any dealer order unless it comes from the dealership. So i hope you get some sort of clarification from your dealership. Best of luck to you
