That Doc fee is CRAZY! It's filing out paper work - seriously. I wouldn't pay more than $100 tops. If they feed you some line that is mandated by state law, they're partially right, it's the MAXIMUM they can charge under state law. That stuff is negotiable, and if you have X-Plan and they honor it, then I think the most Doc fee you will see is $100.
I agree the Connecticut Doc Fee is outrageous and it is the MAX allowed here. I will try and work that angle when the truck arrives somehow (free oil changes or something). Even though I am a disabled Veteran I do not qualify for any of the Ford plans.. Unless you know of something I do not.

Ford wants younger people to buy this truck.

AWD + Lux + FX4 skid plates and other bits make it heavier which cuts into GVWR margin that is available for payload.

One last note: The $599 doc fee in Connecticut (as explained to me) includes processing the new maverick, processing my trade-in, and processing the transfer of my personalized plates. If I do not use a trade-in or want to keep my current plates this fee will be reduced accordingly.... We shall see.

Awesome!! That's really good to hear. I ordered the Lariat FX4 and it's scheduled for production on 11/15.
I'm probably going to sell my Ridgeline to CarMax and just buy the Mav straight up so as not to haggle with the trade-in value.
Get on line with TRED and sell your Ridgeline... You will gain about $2-3k more selling it on line!

My example: I had a 2016 (marketed mid 2015) Mazda CX5 Grand Touring (loaded) w 74k miles... the Mazda dealer would give me $15k... on Tred I sold it for $17,500.00 It took about 3 weeks to get done.

On top of that, my mindset was originally to sell it at about $10,500.00 - Check values on line and stay strong on the resale you determine what it is worth! CarMax and any other dealer will need $2k profit or more... to sell your Trade In! Don't sell yourself short!

Weird. I've seen some reviewers show the sticker and it's a little over 1600 lbs. Maybe because they were showing the hybrid. I guess it's different than the EB?
All the added features adds weight and reduces the payload.

Just checked the MCA website.. It says " Digital and Standard Members receive members-only discounts, including Ford X-Plan pricing on new Ford vehicles. X-Plan pricing is not available on all models. Check with your preferred dealer for X-Plan discounts. You must be a member of MCA for a minimum of 90 days before you can use X-Plan". I will call my dealer and ask if they will honor the X-Plan. Thanks.

Congrats! My build is the same except 360. Weird question, could you take a picture of the headlight switch and also is the fuel door push to open or is there a lever in the cab to open it?
I’ll snap a pic later of the switch. Fuel door is push to open.

don’t choose the $25 standard plan. They need to update the web site. It will not work and I had to upgrade to the $35 plan.

It will be interesting to see what the payload sticker shows on an EcoBoost Maverick without AWD and FX4.

After an arduous day of battle at the dealership, I emerged victorious and rode off the battlefield after 9pm last night in my new Mav! For reference: Ordered 7/9, Built 9/14, Delivered 9/30 (almost 3 weeks ahead of schedule).

Early Impressions:

Exterior: CG is just a sexy color in person. It isn't even well detailed yet but looks amazing and goes well with the FX4 wheels. I like the contrast of the black door handles on the XLT. Car is well proportioned and I don't think it looks or feels small in person. Fit & finish is impressive so far given the price point. I caught them before they drilled the front bumper for plates so it still looks clean up front. Will put in the black tailgate letters this weekend and probably take off the AWD badge and FX4 decals (don't like the random red, plan to replace with full black).

Interior: Impressed as well. Is it a luxury car inside? No. Is it nice and cleanly built inside? Yes. I think the blue/grey and orange go well together and work well with the CG exterior. Definitely roomy feeling and feels bigger than Ranger inside. I am 5' 11" and had plenty of room in both front and back seats. I'll be curious to see how all the hard plastics hold up over time but I really like the setup so far. My wife loves the stone colored dash & door inserts. Cool to see the off road screen for the FX4. Confirmed drive modes: Normal, Slippery, Tow/Haul, Sand, Mud/Rut.

Driving: Only 36 miles of mostly stop and go so far, so somewhat limited. Pickup is smooth from a stop and you can feel that the EB has some zip. It is a little bit noisy here and there (on some deceleration and cold temp start this morning). Does it bother me coming from a 2010 car with 100k on it, nope! Handling is tight and car like as expected. Got on the freeway for a brief bit last night and it got to speed plenty quick and will have no problem passing. Roads in my area are not super well maintained and while the Mav doesn't necessarily go over them like butter, it is absolutely better than a typical truck. Auto start stop is of course annoying but I did enjoy auto hold (even though my wife says it's weird). Overall, steering feel and throttle response are solid and the car feels nimble and easy to maneuver.

Overall: I am in love. Ford has a winner and will sell as many of these as they can get made. I won the lottery getting a build so early and it is going to do everything I need it to. Hope all the other early deliveries are loving theirs. Everyone waiting, hang in there bc they will be worth it!!

All the added features adds weight to vehicle and reduces the payload.
It must be a frame limit issue because having an EcoBoost engine with the extra HP it offers would have no issues moving the extra weight.

Also reassuring to us future Hybrid Maverick owners is that the extra weight of the High Voltage battery nor the eCVT hasn't caused a reduction on payload weight.

Should be close to 1674 lbs. The hybrid XL TFL showed was 1563 and the curb weight of a FWD Ecoboost is supposedly 111 pounds lighter.
