Hi, Just towed my new trailer 200 miles from Santa Cruz, CA to Lucerne, CA with my 2022 XLT EB 4K tow and AWD. Got 11.5 MPG @ 57mph. Went over 3 mountain passes in cruise control. Cruise dropped between 2 and 3 mph and then caught up.

Sometimes there is a whooshing sound. Maybe the fan?

Trailer is #3400 and the tongue is #390.

Can you give details on the camper? Looks amazing! Been trying to find the right one for us as well and this might be it.

Nope, removed the spare tire, 1 propane tank a kids bed, and I don't travel with a full tank of water. We're going to weight the truck this week and then I'll know more.

Nice to see other people towing with theirs too. I towed my vintage camper home about 1100 miles I weighed mine as I towed it at 3850. These trucks tow AMAZINGLY. Looking forward to seeing more.

Pretty sure Ford recommends not using cruise control when towing on large inclines. I know I wouldn't do it myself.
You won't do it to keep more control? Or is there a technical issue?

And that's a hybrid up front with additional towing equipment added post delivery.

19.9 MPG towing the white utility trailer loaded with machinery up and over the Sierra mountains on as hot as a 96 degree day. Not enough miles with the camper to get a fair MPG number but it was totally easy to tow up some steep grades. On the flat, on the highway, the hybrid engine is at about 25% to 40% load.

Yes, for more control. It is very mountainous out here and cruise control is very annoying when you're doing lots of climbing.

What's the weight of the camper? An what did you add post delivery?

I have a hybrid and would be interested in a camper that size or even a little smaller.

But if you "weight" it, won't it weigh more? I'm just kidding you - gotta love these automated spell checkers that "fix" things for you... Maybe AI will eventually help resolve this, but in the meantime, it's a source of endless amusement for us as we wait for our Macs. And wait... (Or is it "weight?"... LOL)
