Or open the tailgate, put a board in the groves across the wheel base and drill 1-2" holes through another board like a 2x6 or 2x8 2x10 and insert that across the groves in the back of the bed. make sure the holes are high enough to line up with the board across the wheel base. You may have to...
I had the old shudder and it went away after the recall. The stopping became smooth everytime. This shudder shakes the vehicle and makes a metal rattle sound as it comes to a stop. It definately does not feel normal, but maybe it is?
There was an original recall to fix the engine shudder and grabby brakes. I had those done a while back when it came out. Haven't had the issue that I can recall up until I got the last 3 recalls on 5/10/24. I put off the taillight recall until they had the battery recall. And now I have noticed...
Like I said, I've only felt it twice since having the recalls done on 5/10/24. Granted, I was out of town without using this vehicle for one of those weeks. So maybe 2 times in 2.5-3 weeks of use. I also don't have a ton of miles on this vehicle. Probably just over 10K or 10.5K.
Has anyone that has done the last round of recalls for the engine fire felt the engine shudder again?
I felt it a couple weeks ago for the first time and didn't think much of it, but I felt it a second time yesterday. Both times it was a short stretch of roads in a neighborhood with stop signs...
Dear Santa,
My name is little Timmy and my Maverick is 2 model years old. My other Maverick truck friends say you aren't real, please show them otherwise! I would like a matching set of storage box oraganizers for the dashboard, gear shift and center console.
I have a 2022 Maverick Hybrid Lariat and my wife has a 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring.
We have a 10 month old still in a rear facing car seat and due to his height/length we are already having to use a convertible backwards facing seat. I have to put this behind the passenger seat in the Mav...
I spoke to customer support last week and they said there were software updated for 23E07 and 23E09. Scheduled both with our local dealer for this week. They said each update will take about half a day. The only recall that should be remaining after that is the engine fire issue which I don't...
I got a 2022 lariat Hybrid deliviered in late 2022 with around 7K miles. I have 3 recalls without solutions including the engine shudder and the possible engine fire. Additionally, I've had issues with the paint that I've never had on a previous vehicle. Still love the vehicle, just wish Ford...
Can we take some of these thermal photos of a Hybrid Engine with the recall pending? Still don't fully understand how they catch fire while the engine is cold.
Left center of the hood, where the groove are. Ford has said they aren't going to cover this under warranty that it is likely from a harsh chemical and not a defect. So SOL.
It looks like if you go to that ford link and put in your VIN, it will show up as a recall if it hasn't been done. Or atleast that is what it looks like for the 2022s.
I had a PCM update when I got an oil change back in June. I'm assuming that is the same update? They said it should fix the issue when I left the service center. I have a 2022 though. I will say it is less frequent, however, I am still experiencing the shudder every now and then. I'd say it is...
So I don't think it is tree sap or bird poop. I do park under a tree at work, but not a pine or other sappy tree and if it was sap, I would expect it do be an issue in more places on the vehicle and an issue for other people at the office with Fords. Simliar with bird poop. If it were due to...
I took it in to a dealership for an oil change and to look at the hybrid engine noise. Never seen a bird poop do that. It’s hardened and wrinkled so I don’t think I can rub it out.
I know people have had some issues with chipping and maybe bubbling.
I’m just seeing this happen 8 months after owning the vehicle. Looks like the paint is curling. Anyone else have this issue? I see no damage on the underside of the hood.
