Hmm. I see a lot of Ford Rangers sitting on lots for extended periods. Some 3k or more under MSRP. Keeping my eye on them. If in a month they drop further might jump on one.
Where have you seen them? I've started looking at Rangers as well.

You are absolutely correct. I have family who works at the Hermosillo plant and they confirmed the plant is down all week for Semana Santa (Holy Week). I was originally scheduled 4/17 but got pushed to 4/22.

My cousin told me that they are planning on opening the plant on the Saturdays of April to catch up on orders due to this weeks closure/maintenance.

I was wondering about that. I've been scheduled week of 4/17 without being pushed figured Easter might mess that up. My window sticker generated yesterday.

I saw a couple on my dealer's lot. One look at the back seat was a dealbreaker. My 6' 1" 13-year-old son would simply not fit.

Odd. I know the sticker on my Bronco Sport generated five days before it was built. So I figured if Monday at least was shut down I'd be looking at Tuesday or Wednesday but if they are doing Saturday builds now then Saturday would be five days from when my sticker generated so maybe that's what's going on.

I

i thought this too and talked to my dealer in feb and they advised me not too as I was close and also (and this is me as a non ford person trying to get right). The price guarantee since we did the Covid or cosip something is tied to the overall power train . If I switched from hybrid to eco boost, no price guarantee and it was sorta to the end of line for the allocation of those. When the initial plan came out I ordered an Xlt hybrid even though I really wanted a lariat cause the numbers quoted increased my odds and bammo I am in build now.
Congratulations on the being in production. And I will wait. Though I ordered a xlt too. My impatience is getting the best of me.

Just recieved an email from my dealer (Coconut Point Ford) that my 2023 Maverick was destroyed in a train derailment outside Springfield Ohio. What are the odds. One other truck headed to my dealer was also destroyed. Being told that a "Special Allotment" is being issued by Ford to replace these vehicles. They are saying 3 months to build a new one but who knows. I guess bad luck is better than no luck at all. The saga continues.

My perspective going into this was that if I was lucky I would see my Maverick in a year. Unlucky, never see it. Just lost due to mis-placed paperwork or whatever or failed allocation dispersals.

So far, I have seen and heard of nothing to change my perspective.

I have not heard one word from the dealer from the day I ordered my Maverick. Crickets.

Well, I was expecting it and actually got my 45 day "So sorry" letter from Ford. Still nothing from my dealer, of course but that's par for the course. I haven't even gotten a "While waiting on the Maverick, come check out a Ranger." kind of thing.

Some people might be irritated by the latter. So, it's a no-win for the dealership.
