I realize possible will get negative responses however thought I share that I also like Bob have moved on. After another week of excitement waiting for Thursday scheduling and disappointed when not chosen I took a look at other options. My wife and I and children have been coping with one car the last 9 months however I don't think can wait 500 days to get the Maverick with no guarantee anything will ever be scheduled. I have admiration for those of you that have.

I went to look again a a VW 2023 Tiguan S and spoke with an amazing dealer Ed at Norm Reeves VW Irvine. and after talking and test driving and some discussion in a few hours I purchased the car and have an amazing vehicle in my garage. It was a tough decision as I have followed Maverick since it was released and watched Tim and Johnny several times a week and really had everything planned out for the Maverick.

However while my Tiguan cost a few thousand more than my XL I did get $2000 under MSPR and did not pay for the Ceramic Coating window and fabric protection and no extended warranties or dealer fees and a 5.9% interest rate for 72 months included 3 years complementary Maintenance and 4 year warranty So think I got a similar deal to the Maverick after I would have purchased Wheels, Covers, mats etc.

The Tiguan had all the safety features and also got Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist and Lane Centering and level 2 semi- autonomous driving, Rain sensing Wipers, Traffic signs, Digital cockpit 3rd row seat or large cargo area, emergency braking led lights, Very nice 7 inch Alloy wheels with locks, Keyless proximity locking and Push button start. Electric heated Mirrors and Monster Mats and cargo mats, leather stitched steering wheel and gear stick, heated seats. It has the same towing capacity of the Maverick also so I very happy with the Car and while its not a hybrid or has a bed I think it be perfect for road trips with the family and the optional 3rd row will come in handy, I really like the interior and design of the car and gets a reasonable MPG.

I want to thank everyone on the forum although some of the posts have stressed me out they also have kept me sane and been very helpful. Also Tim post are amazing and anyone not following him should start.

I hope though who have the trucks are very happy with them and the rest that are waiting get theirs very soon.

I wish Ford could have managed this a little better even if they had just provided a scheduled date late in the year I would have not looked elsewhere however the uncertainty of getting a truck is just not worth the stress. I know i was not able to custom order the VW however the dealer did have several variations of Trims and colors so was able to select the Interior and exterior color, optional Drivers Package off the lot and not have to face disappointment every week. Seems other dealers are able to get stock available at MSPR . They did have constraint issue on the blind spot sensor however provided a Credit.

Hopefully in the future things will get better and maybe I can look again at a Maverick possible a EV version.

Just thought I share so if others are in a similar situation that there are options to get something if you cannot wait. If anyone in SoCal I recommend Ed at Norm Reeves he really was a genuine honest dealer which wanted me to get the best deal possible and be satisfied with my purchase.

I removed my hitch back in November, now have a basic hybrid XLT, NO add-ons.... and my order's never even been previewed. Like everything else, it seems to be whatever mood the Ford chimp is in when he starts throwing darts at the scheduling board. No system, no rhyme or reason, pure, dumb luck.

Sorry to hear about your wait, it’s frustrating and one of the reasons I didn’t monitor forums like this regularly- it can be depressing and upsetting seeing others get what you’ve been waiting for.
I also considered doing what you did, remove the hitch and splash guards and leave it as a base XLT, but in the video I’m posting here, he says if you drop constrained options AND order surplus options (like spray-in bed liner, Lux package, Co-Pilot), Ford MAY give you priority over other orders. All I can say is “It worked for me, your results may vary”.

I got two 45 day emails today. Never knew Ford worked on Sunday! I also switched from hybrid to ecoboost 3 months ago, but it hasn't helped my order. All I ordered was a base XL with tow hitch, rubber bed mat, floor liners, and full size spare.

I admire your thinking and I'm sure you will be happy with the VW. There are plenty of nice cars out there now. We are in a great period for tech, efficiency, comfort, safety. Enjoy!

I think it takes more than faith. I've got faith. I'm not going to order more options than I want, so if Ford won't fill my order, I'll get something else. I just saw listings for Mavericks at a dealer in South Carolina for $7,000 over MSRP. They will close down before I pay that!

It is my understanding that they have now scheduled through the end of May. The next round of emails could be another month. That puts delivery of a vehicle around August.

They scheduled close to 8,000 for May, according to the VIN counter. Won't know for a while the breakdown. But It appears May is done and there is no need to schedule June until mid-April. Ford is in a bit of a rhythm with their scheduling cadence now.

If you aren't scheduled right now, don't expect anything until next moth at the earliest.

So May is Done. Will their Be a 2024 rollover? Will I still get the Price I thought I locked in? So now it Looks like August?(Did I interpret that right) So far the 05 Ranger is holding Up Great. I am hanging in. Brand Loyalty is a two way street. The longer FMC lags its competitors are trying to shove compact trucks/Vehicles into the market. The Chevy Montana has been around a while and is being fast tracked to US Specs. Santa Cruz is where I have seen most jumping to if Hyundai was smart they would drop the price a few K and their sails would really jump. Toyota Has noticed the Mav succcess and looks like the Stout is about to land in the US. I am hanging in foe the Mav. But for Ford to Lose a awsome sales strategic position/advantage is going to sting. Oh I forgot I got my DJ email just now.

May is done. Model year production is expected to last through October, at the earliest. No, they will not rollover to MY24. Hopefully Ford will simply provide allocation information to dealers in advance so dealers know what to take.

There are no competitors beyond Santa Cruz and Maverick sales are way higher. Even if Toyota announced one today, it would be a couple years for the same reason it has taken time for Ford to ramp up. Toyota would have to work with suppliers to ensure parts.

It's really hard for me to believe that FMC will send you 45 day updates and yet not provide you a rollover option to MY24 if unable to deliver. It's one thing to not plan on doing this at the beginning of FY23 production but after taking your order, all the apologetic emails to just tell you to take a hike? I would like to think they may not apply any special offers but at least rollover.

Ford said at the beginning of they year they didn't plan to. That could change. But I image what will end up happening is Ford will actually give definitive allocations to dealers in MY24 and tell them to bring over any existing orders first before they take any more orders. But I don't think Ford will have a flat rollover policy or deal package.

But as it says in my signature: I don't work for Ford.

If scheduling is done through May, then June would be the best we could hope for. Allowing a month for delivery, July would be the best result to receive a truck. I was told six months when I ordered. That is not going to happen.

Ford said "there is no intention of providing a MY Transition offer for those customers who do not get their 23MY Maverick retail order build and need to re-order a 24MY". That simply indicates that there is no plan for price protection. It says nothing about rolling orders over.
IF you look at Ford's history, they have never rolled over an order unless the order had been scheduled with a VIN and was just never built. Otherwise, they have always relied on dealerships to roll them order properly.
