So here we are, five miles from officially getting 600 miles per tank on the hybrid with a little left in the tank…. Anyone else approaching 600 miles per tank? ( yes I realize driving style and conditions vary, but hey…it’s still great mileage)

What, in particular, did you do to get it up that high?

I am interested if anyone got over 600 miles on the gas tank? Should we start a club?

That's my first dealership gas tank. Bought with 9 miles on odometer. And new full tank of gas.

Driving mainly on slippery mode.

600 miles is easy, we need a 700 miles club, which is truly the challenge.

Got my first 600 mile tank (and a little to spare) this weekend. My 75 mile daily (x5) commute is on SR highways and Interstates; so a lot of 55 - 70 MPH speed limits.

Made it today. I like my Maverick.
This tankful was about 20% interstate and 80% local miles.

After crossing the 5000 mile mark it appears my trucks mileage is going up. Driving in the Normal mode i was able to get ~585 miles on a tank twice. Then I tried a tank in the ECO mode. Not racing from the stop lights. Kept to the posted speed limits. I used cruise control 80% of the time - 90% local 10% highway driving. I did drive in the right lane to stay out of the speedsters and I didn't rear end anyone takng pictures of my dash. During this tank the highest I was able to reach was 49.2 MPG. I finally cracked the 600+ miles per tank! When I filled up it stopped pumping at 14.4 gallons. Very happy with the results of my Maverick

Just filled up for the first time this morning. Went 702.5 miles on first tank- mostly around town driving, 10% or less on highway/expressway. Drove mostly in Eco mode, although I tried both Normal and slippery modes- couldn't tell much difference in my limited experience. My low fuel/25 mile to empty light came on at 685 miles. Filled up at $2.90/gallon (87 octane) and it took 14.08 gallons, so that was $40.82 to fill up (stopped as soon as it clicked off). So I averaged almost 50 miles/gallon and I calculated ~5.8 cents/mile. My wife drives a Toyota RAV4 Prime exclusively in electric only mode (all local driving) and she ends up paying 3.4 cents/mile based on our local rates from Duke Power in SC. Love both vehicles, not a direct comparison (apples/oranges), but if they came out with a plug-in Maverick I'd be very interested. I sure one of my kids would be happy inherit my Maverick when I get something new. Until then- it's a keeper.

Ok, What have I been doing wrong. I just started using the ECO mode on the last full tank of gas. I ran to about an 1/8 tank with 59 miles saying is left in the tank. I filled up and my guess a meter says 497 miles to empty. Whats going on?

This thread has lots of information. Your post doesn't tell us how you drive...

1. Weather plays a huge role in your MPG, if you live in a cold climate right now, the ICE will run longer.
2. How are you driving? are you coasting when coming to a stop (this rechargers the battery) do you have this turned on?
3. READ this thread it will help you understand how to drive the Maverick and get the high MPG.

I've made the 600+ mile club once.........it was this winter, but we had a warm stretch where I didn't have to use the heat much, and didn't have a lot of highway trips. I'm using "slippery mode" for 6 months and then gonna do Eco for 6 months. Even with heater going at times, my overall is over 38mpg. I've had the truck since October 1, 2022.

In the hybrid you can go 1 gallon past MTE 0. So 44 miles at 44 mpg. Or 25 miles at 25 MPG.

The "zero" mark is conservative so you won't be stranded right at zero. But venture at your own risk past that.
