    This is now sold.
  2. North Carolina FS: SnugTop in Area 51

    Bump. Still available!
  3. North Carolina FS: SnugTop in Area 51

I am selling my SnugTop. Lived on my truck for a little over a year. It’s Area 51 in color, no flaws that I know of whatsoever. It was dealer installed, but I used the instructions to properly remove the entire wiring system. The only thing you’ll need to install this is a new set of seals to...
  4. 600 Miles Per Tank Hybrid Maverick club

    Was so close to 650.
  5. MAVERICK STILL ON WITH KEY OUT!

I’d bet anything you have the bad positive battery cable issue others have. See this post: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/dead-hybrid-again-after-wire-harness-replacement.25593/post-514766 That would most assuredly be the first thing I’d check or *make* your dealer check if...
  6. Maverick Hybrid brake system grabbing and/or rough engagement at low speeds

Do some googling on “gasoline winter blend” and you’ll find that in some areas of the country the ethanol level changes between summer and winter and, in short, during the times you’re getting winter blend you are going to see a noticeable hit in mileage. It’s way more noticeable in a vehicle...
  7. Dead Hybrid (round 2) Clarification

Not sure. Was gonna go look up the parts that mechanic used from his video to see what gauges they were for and what the hole size was, but haven’t done it yet. Shouldn’t be too hard to figure out.
  8. Dead Hybrid (round 2) Clarification

Definitely possible it’s something else, but I’m telling you I’ve seen this kind of bad connection cause ALL kinds of weird issues, and it’s a very common problem. They had a VERY bad process for soldering these, and any fairly good but still intermittent connection could be causing your truck...
  9. Dead Hybrid (round 2) Clarification

You guys should all check out page 8 of this thread: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/dead-hybrid-again-after-wire-harness-replacement.25593/page-8 Watch BOTH videos in my post, particularly the second one. I’d bet anything many or all of you have the bad battery cable terminal...
  10. Dead Hybrid again, AFTER wire harness replacement!

I watched that video and as I watched I said to myself “no, he hasn’t found the problem…the problem is the crimp on the supply going to that box.” I knew immediately the reason he got voltage with it unhooked and then the voltage dropped when connected was that connection. Turns out it isn’t...
  11. TSB for the brakes grabbing -- is for 2022 or 2023 Maverick?

Not seeing it in this thread: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/tsb-22-2493-issued-for-2-5l-hybrid-maverick-grabby-brakes-at-or-below-6-2-mph.24977/ which seems to be the canonical thread, and again, not in the TSB itself.
  12. TSB for the brakes grabbing -- is for 2022 or 2023 Maverick?

Where are you seeing this? I’ve read the entire actual TSB and there is no “before X date” or anything listed that I can see. The word “may” appears four times in the document and none of those is a date.
  13. Let’s try to fix this major hybrid issue together

Yes, it should be two different TSBs. But instead it’s two things in one TSB that’s poorly worded. In a nutshell, they’re only supposed to order the EGR valve and do that if you have a code, and they’re supposed to only do the brake thing if the customer reports it as a problem. *sigh*
  14. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

But did it *grab* like before the TSB? I’ve heard the clunk a couple times since the TSB but a) not NEARLY as often and b) it just doesn’t grab anything like it did before the TSB.
  15. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

It’s a bit of a haul, but call Ericka at Asheboro Ford. They did mine with no trouble at all. Sucks that businesses are so busy that they don’t care if they piss off customers. *sigh*
  16. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

I can’t say I’ve ever had the second one, but the first is the TSB behavior, yeah. Get it done and see if you still have 2 and go from there would be my advice.
  17. Let’s try to fix this major hybrid issue together

There’s also a good chance that it’s just that *some* of those parts aren’t being manufactured to spec. That is to say it’s not a “wearing out” issue, but a “bad part to begin with” issue. So maybe it’s not an updated part that’s needed, it’s just that they need better quality control in making...
  18. Hybrid Brakes Still an Issue After TSB

I should also add: I think this problem is not only random, but definitely *more* of a problem for some people than others. That is to say while I think my truck has had gremlins, they aren’t significant enough to worry about. But I think others are seeing MUCH more significant things that are...
  19. Hybrid Brakes Still an Issue After TSB

The red screen was literally your collision warning system based on your description. I’ve had it pop up a few times on me when I’m not braking as I approach the rear of a vehicle turning in front of me because I know it’ll be out of the way. As for the rest, I have a theory: Mavericks, unlike...
