They are failing, as people are getting upset. Upset customers = none returning customers.

Seriously now, if Toyota has a compact truck with similar specs and price, I would jump ship and switch over to Toyota right way. My 480+ days wait is long enough and still no scheduled build, I am sure that it will be at least 500+ days before I get the Mav I ordered back in 2021.

With the wait that I am currently going through and no scheduled build, I can assure that I will never again look at another Ford after this ordeal. If you are saying that this isn't a failing business approach, I am not sure is what is when a buyer who will never again look at another Ford.

Note: I am on schedule to buy 3 new vehicles within the next couple years. I am very sure now that the other 2 will not be a Ford.
Honestly, it must be nice having so few problems in life that a delayed truck counts among the things that can make you this angry. I just honestly don't think I'm capable of that. 😆

anyone else notice the Order Tracking seems to be down or not working
Seems to be the consensus. There's at least one or two threads about it

I can't say I am angry, more like upset knowing that those who ordered after me get to cruise around in their Mavericks while i am 480+ days waiting. Just the thought of Ford, I lost interest in dealing with them again.

I would not have an issue if people who placed the orders before I did driving their Mavericks before I get mine. I don't have an issue if Ford told me in advance that it is all about allocations and not when you placed the order.

Again, I am just a customer, not Ford itself, what do I know about running a successful business, which you claim Ford is doing. Therefore, I volunteer myself to not participate in anymore of Ford's future business. I am sure I am not the only person who thinks this way.

No scheduling week 13

2023-maverick-scheduling-week-march-9-2023.webp
After 487 days of waiting and 3 weeks of no scheduling I have about reached my limit!!! WTF ford I have no constraints yet you keep building orders that were entered after me!!! I will be looking at other options even though I would love having a maverick but you refuse to build it!!!!
I'm always shocked how mad people are when Ford doesn't do scheduling. Because production continues uninterrupted, and whether you get told this week or next does it matter when the build date would be the same?

SMH
Mybe when you have been waiting 500 days and still no schedule date lets see how you react!

Ford is making more Mavericks for the US than Rangers. They're building significantly more than Hyundai builds Santa Cruzes, and Hyundai considers the Santa Cruz a massive success.

It's literally the opposite of a failure. Scaling industry up to meet higher demand is expensive and risky. It takes time, but Ford is doing it. Does it suck that it takes forever to get one? Yes. I waited 504 days to get mine. Could they be doing better with communication? Also yes. From a personal perspective it can very much suck.

But from a business perspective? Ford is doing very well.
Earnings -$.49/share 2022 vs GM $2.12
They could "sell" all the vehicles in the universe but if they can't make deliveries to turn them into revenue it doesn't matter. That said it's a neat package I am still holding out for

Why won't Ford honor 22MY orders first?
Could that special offer have something to do with it?
With all the quality issues on both drive options and economy changing, EV changeover lacking, Billions for Blue City, Ford may be in survival mode.
At this point I am losing interest, Ford and dealer have played games with my order. They on their own changed my order from D443 to an E443 way after the rollover.
I am guessing that Ford has overextended itself and can not even make an imported vehicle without blackmailing customers to change to high end orders for their economy truck.
Made stock holders money though.
Stock price down 20% so no. Look for them to suspend dividend

It's not failing, true. But it's also not excelling either: ""We should have done much better last year," Ford CEO Jim Farley said. "We left about $2 billion in profits on the table that were within our control, and we’re going to correct that with improved execution and performance.""
Jim Farley is more like Chris Farley when it comes to running a corporation.

Ford's earnings are down because of all the recalls. Keep your fingers crossed that the Maverick doesn't have the same problems as the latest Explorer; they could be slow walking this thing (comparatively speaking) to avoid that.

The fun part is next Thursday is my next 45 day email so my hopes might up for nothing next week lol.
Unfortunately, with Ford scheduling May, I think next week will determine whether I pass. If I'm not scheduled, then it won't even be built before I really needed it. I'm already evaluating alternatives as my current car just isn't going to last and we are entering the season of truly needing two vehicles.

Just throwing this idea out there. It is one I have floated around in my head if something unexpected happens.. (accident, total vehicle loss, engine/tranny goes out...etc), but what about getting a "loaner" car (or insert correct term here).

I see all these people complaining that they ordered their vehicle in Sept and should already have it, or they needed it asap...etc...but why would you go about ordering a custom made vehicle if you needed a vehicle that bad? Just go to any dealership and buy a new/used car off the lot or a private seller. I would find it hard to believe at the time of placing any Maverick order at any dealership that they did not mention the possibility of a super long wait. And if anyone was aware of the MTC before placing their order, should have already known about the long wait potential. But this has nothing to do with the 1+year wait time people, I am sorry for the long wait, but enough of my mini rant, back to my idea...

If you really like the Maverick, feel its the vehicle that you really want/need.... why not find a current vehicle that would fill your needs...hold onto your Maverick order...and when it does come in, trade that current vehicle in towards the Maverick (or sell it yourself)? That way you wont lose your Maverick order and you have a vehicle for a potential short amount of time that gets the job done.

Just a thought. To those reading this with vehicles that you feel wont make it across the finish line... is that an option? get a newer used car that would get you from right now, until your Maverick being built/delivered? Just my $0.02 as this is the route I would go if my Escape craps out completely.
