Well, there is no snow my way. I live near Albuquerque, NM. My Maverick was built Jan 14th. Sat at the factory for 3 weeks before catching a train. Now it’s stuck in the rail yard in Phoenix. Here I am down south somewhat near the border with Mexico and still have to wait a long time for transport. Go figure.
I would love to feel sorry for your long wait. And it IS a long wait!
I would LOVE to be complaining about my Maverick sitting somewhere, but that seems months away............:)
That said...there does seem to be too many issues with rail transport. I understand the trucking side, but the rail side should run more consistently.

Let us all be more optimistic now that a third shift will be added. When my Maverick was built I felt bad about being in the 400 Club. Little did I know I was going to actually be a member of the 500 Club. I suppose I should be happy that my little guy is finally built and on its way to his new home. At least I'm not joining the 600 Club. Hopefully no one will be joining that club!

Could Ford have designed the Mav without the Trailer Module (and its microchips)? Sure, its how they use to do it for years.

But its not the way the Maverick was designed and is being built (including XL and XLT).

With the CAN bus (and microchips) you get a notification you are in trailer mode on the dash. It also disables the rear collisions sensors. It might also adjust the automatic sway control.
I can see all this high tech stuff for the 4K tow pack. But, just for a 2K rating. If the chips are a constraint, delete the trailer module as a credit option. Optional to the buyer ordering.

Dealer told me I am priority 10 above everyone else and now I read this. Getting a sliver of hope that I might see my Maverick this summer!
Keep it at a sliver. I've been stuck at a priority 2 since the first week of December. Still haven't been scheduled.

The 3rd shift in July, August, September and October will be for 2023 model. First month of 3rd shift will probably be throw away practice builds. Maybe they will sell them for 1/2 price.
Or they'll sell them to hungry consumers waiting for their heralded Ford.

Yeah, I'm sure railroads are for sale.
All the time.

:ROFLMAO:
I bought one the other day
My Maverick has now been sitting in the Phoenix rail yard for two weeks. Obviously back logged. With increased production of the Maverick I wonder if plans are being made to fine tune the rail system?
Remember that the trains carry more than Mavericks. But when I read all the gloom videos on Youtube that GM, Ford and other manufacturers are going out of business I'm guessing those drop yards are going to be ghost towns.

Those videos have the titles in big red letters so they must be true. Just like the ones that show the 2024 Maverick. And the ones saying the Maverick is doomed because Chevy, Ram, Toyota, IH, and everyone else are coming out with $20,000 EV compact pickups.

The two big constraints are the Hybrid powertrain and the hitch. I wonder if they will have them both solved or just the hitch. We may just see a lot more EBs produced.
Where did you hear that the hybrid drivetrain was a constraint.

they just don’t want to make more than a certain percentage of the total Maverick production. Probably due to the small profit margin.

Or Ford can just be openly transparent about it. Like we have 500,000 orders and we have delivered X many and tell us this progress every month. This way, even though you are waiting, you can feel progress is being made.
They publish monthly sales and production numbers. What more do you need?

Who knows. If they don't get a hold of more batteries, it'll all be academic for the hybrid orders.
So you think the batteries are a constraint? You have a source for that?

I get why hybrids are a constraint, but not hitches. They’re not that complex!
The guy who worked for Ford that was in charge of making the round balls for the hitches no longer works for them.
The new guy that replaced him can only make cubes. (He came from Hyundai) LOL

Ford has said all along the hybrids are constrained. We don't know if it is due to the lithium or other metals in the batteries or the rare earth metals in the eCVT motors or the extra electronics in the hybrid powertrain. Ford has said it is 35% but the production number seem to put it closer to 50%.

I'm in the same boat. Mine had been sitting in Tampa for more than two weeks now. It was offloaded and supposedly sitting and waiting to go back on another train to Orlando. I think my train had a lot of Tampa trucks on it and they just took mine off and figured they would get around to moving it at some point. Definitely pisses me off because there was another direct route that others have gone on and I would've had my truck a week ago.

I got a new pretend ETA from Ford Chat today...3/10. That would have it sitting in the Denver railyard for 16 days.

Rare earth magnets aren't really that 'rare' despite the name.
