Anyone find it interesting that the only reference to hybrids in the entire press release pertains to F-150 PowerBoost? No mention of Maverick Hybrid at all, but F-150 specifically calls out "gas and hybrid trucks"

Bronco Sport and Maverick: Ford is increasing production for Bronco Sport and Maverick. Production is targeted to increase by more than 80,000 units this year, helping to meet demand in both North and South America. In the U.S., Ford brand SUV sales totaled 777,770, up 4.6% in 2022 versus 2021, led by the Bronco family of vehicles. Maverick was the No. 1 small truck in America in 2022.
F-150 and F-150 PowerBoost: Ford is also looking at ways to increase production at the Dearborn Truck Plant of the F-150 gas and hybrid trucks to meet continued strong demand. The F-Series holds the title of America’s best-selling truck for 46 consecutive years.

I'm just glad I picked up some more Ford Stock a few months ago. It's back over $13 today, and hoping it will get back into the $18 to $20 range. Great dividend, even if it doesn't go up in face value. Ford is doing well.
I picked up a 100 shares last year intending to use the X plan if it worked out. Unfortunately Ford pulled the rug out from under that idea.

My fear is any more mavericks will be ecoboost ONLY. No help for me getting my hybrid order then, I hope they will be able to make more hybrids but doesn't sound really good.

I think it more likely that all 80,000 will be Maverick, due to the 3rd shift being added. My take on this is that there is one shift for each model, the 3rd shift will be dedicated to the Mav line.

Also, the Bronco Sport sales are greatly slowing down. There are tons of BS's sitting on dealer lots right now. Ford needs to do something to push these out.
I saw a production pic of the Maverick line and in the background was the line for the Bronco Sport.

i decontented my loaded Lariat EB down to a base XLT hybrid and received it mid jan. Just an FYI.
I get people doing this but I also feel like with the luxury of ordering exactly what you want, people shouldn’t have to settle just in hopes of getting scheduled. I ordered a fully loaded Lariat Tremor & I’m not switching it just to get scheduled. I don’t mind waiting but if it was available to order, they should be able to build it at some point.

Yeah, I could have dropped items from my truck and gotten it sooner (like the lux package), but part of the whole point of ordering the truck was that I wanted those things.

And when it showed up, exactly how I wanted it, I was grateful I had them.

Heated seats and steering wheel in Wisconsin winters are nice... 😆

I think all the OEMs are living in fear right now that they're gonna be the next GM Bolt. You pick a battery cell supplier with poor process control, and your reputation could be tarnished for a decade. Which is why GM swallowed $1.5 billion to replace Bolt batteries (well actually, LG did). Because they knew they had to take the high road.

Until we have fireproof solid state batteries, that will keep OEMs up at night. But after we have solid state, the EV advertisements will be pointing out that 200,000 ICE vehicles have fires every year in the USA alone. I can see the ad now: Buy our fireproof BEV because you love your family (with pictures of an ICE SUV burning intensely).

Disclosure: I'm a huge BEV fan who's waiting on solid state to buy.
I agree that EV manufactures will comment about ICE vehicles catching on fire. The percent is low considering the amount of ICE vehicles in use.
I am a fan of hybrid vehicles. I travel a lot so full EV's would be a hassle for me. Plug in hybrid would be the farthest I would go with a vehicle.

The constraint is not the mechanical hitch receiver but rather Ford's Trailer Module which requires micro-chips to drive the hitch electrical connector and communicate with the rest of the vehicle modules over the CAN bus.
If you have a xl or xlt they don't use LED bulbs. No need for microchips. Sure it would have to be protected with a fuse to prevent shorts or overloads.

Could Ford have designed the Mav without the Trailer Module (and its microchips)? Sure, its how they use to do it for years.

But its not the way the Maverick was designed and is being built (including XL and XLT).

With the CAN bus (and microchips) you get a notification you are in trailer mode on the dash. It also disables the rear collisions sensors. It might also adjust the automatic sway control.

Yeah, I'm sure railroads are for sale.
All the time.

:ROFLMAO:
My Maverick has now been sitting in the Phoenix rail yard for two weeks. Obviously back logged. With increased production of the Maverick I wonder if plans are being made to fine tune the rail system?

Ford has certainly taken the joy out of the process of ordering a new car. That's crazy. By this time, there is no reason why all of the original 2021 orders are not at least in the build process.

There is no other truck on the market that meets my needs (under 4000 lbs, flat-towable, 4 doors with a pickup bed), or I'd have been long gone by now. I think the snows of last week are delaying the final part of the journey from Mexico as there is likely a shortage of auto transports in Denver at the moment, and no one wants to drive towards Montana.

I assume you have a good understanding of whatever is causing your issue (allocations?) and there is actually an order at Ford, not a dealer FUBAR.
Well, there is no snow my way. I live near Albuquerque, NM. My Maverick was built Jan 14th. Sat at the factory for 3 weeks before catching a train. Now it’s stuck in the rail yard in Phoenix. Here I am down south somewhat near the border with Mexico and still have to wait a long time for transport. Go figure.
