People sure have strong opinions on this, I've never had an issue with it. I don't even feel it, unlike BMW's which tend to shudder.

It sounds like it is broke.......you ought to go to your dealer and have a warranty repair.Absolutely every time I start the truck, the first thing I do is hit the Auto StartStop button. Hate the lag. Very annoying.
I just noticed that the truck has permanently disabled it and I no longer have to hit the button. It just never comes on. Everything else works perfectly so wondering if my truck “ learned” I never use it ?
I also see this icon on the dash. Not sure if it’s always been there or what but it’s AutoStart/Stop crossed out.

Or, and get this, it could just be winter. In Canada. And the temperature sensors are doing their job.OP. Get ready for the ”deep sleep” to start showing up! Then your remote start won’t work and some other stuff. You will then have to start putting a charger on it once a week to keep the battery up to par. AND, the dealer will test it and find nothing wrong! I’m waiting for Ford to admit something is wrong and find a fix.
But it’s been 4 months so don’t get in a hurry. Also, might want to get a portable jumper so you won’t have to worry about it leaving you stranded.
