How to get your private offer certificate number

So I figured something out today while looking at our certificate numbers for our carryover Maverick orders. The Maverick team gave the numbers in a very easy way. Maybe this will help you if your dealer can't pull your certificate number from your name and address.

The certificate number has 12 digits. The first 5 is the the dealer code based on the dealership your 22 order was submitted. This would be found on your order sheet.​

The next 2 numbers are 22. The year of your order.​

The next 4 numbers are the order number on your 22MY order. Also found on your order sheet.​

The last number is 1 or 2. Since an order number can be used twice, one for a W8E body code (FWD) and one for a W8F body code (AWD). They would have to try 1 first and if it does pull then try 2.​

Don't forget that your dealer needed to COVP your 22 order to get the private offer for transitioning from 22 to 23.

It seems like this doesn't really apply in Canada...but I don't know for sure. I've been trying to locate information about Private Offer Rebates up here, and it seems like some are being granted, but only for owners who ordered before Nov. 21, 2021. Any updates would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you have to have Ford do an exception for you?
Based on the ones that I've seen, the ones autogenerated by Ford follow the pattern that Tim described, but if the contests and incentives people at Ford had to manually generate a certificate, then 10 digit number (not connected to dealership or order) is given.

No exception requested. Ford CS 800# gave me the Private Offer ($2750) certificate number over the phone last year sometime. Also Ford chat gave me the same 10 digit number in Jan in chat box. I read where someone was able to generate their certificate (I assume on paper) and brought it to the dealership with them when they purchased. I thought it a good idea and requested, via email to get my own copy to take with me. I received an email back stating I could only get the certificate number. Attached is the email showing the 10 digit certificate number. I may could contact Ford again but why? They told me three times the same number.

I called Ford CS just now and asked her why my Cert only had 10 digits. She said they don't all have 12 digits.

Yes. It states that on the above email. I just want to thank you while you're here for all the help I received from you and Sarah with your videos. My truck is now less than 150 miles from my dealership. It will be an 18 month wait as of Mar.3rd. I know now, way more than I ever needed to know about the vehicle ordering process. I had to push my salesman along at times. I really don't know if I would be where I am without your assistance. I will tune in to your YouTube channel the first Tuesday after I get the fob in my hand. What a ride. Thank you.

Yeah, I don't know. It's possible that there was some issue w/ duplicate order numbers so they did it a different way for some?

Not a bad idea to have the certificate #, but not necessary. The dealer will have to find the private offer associated with your address in smart vincent anyway in order to claim.

But this gives you proof if they give you a hard time about it!

Do you know if Canadians get private offers? i ordered a 2022 back in May 2022 which was COVP but i never got a VIN. i was switched to a 2023 (with the price increase) and now its going to show up next month. My dealer still hasn't found anything about a private offer. Thanks a million

Just to be clear this is the $1750 private offer (Lariat 2.0 EB) for the roll over 22s correct?During a conversation with Ford customer service rep he mentioned something about another rebate that pertains to the options ordered on the truck. As far as you’re aware, are there any other rebates other than the $1750 private offer? Thanks.

That is the offer I'm referring, it's called the Transition Private Offer because it is assisting in helping with the price increase from one model year to the next (transitioning from 22 to 23). It is $1750 on ecoboost, $2750 on hybrid (based on 22 order).

What about the offer when you ordered initially, it was supposed to be $1000 , I rolled over mine and all I got was the $1750 and my sons discount, I also didn’t get my nurse first responders discount of $500. Not happy with the dealer or Ford.
