AGM Battery for the Maverick ecoboost cheap at Walmart

Most plausible answer is exactly that. "Forgot" to declare hazardous materials and just shipped it in a plain box.

But it's fine, and great. However you can get an AGM battery is good. Sounds like '23 has it standard which would be nice if true. I would not be shocked to see someone post a pic of a '23 ecoboost with an EFB though.

Not in my case - it had the requisite hazardous materials labels on the outside cardboard box.

A few years back, they used to ship aviation batteries without the acid in them - no liquid in the battery at all. And there was a separate "box" within the outer container that held the acid, wrapped multiple layers, etc. I always though it was odd that they "trusted" the cardboard box more than the battery shell itself, which seemed a lot less likely to leak... A few years later, they stopped doing that, and all the batteries came pre-flooded. Now, it's mostly AGM or Gel batteries, so there's that...

Like I said in direct response to your previous post, it seems to be random and who knows what it's based on whether it's trim or package dependent but my Maverick which was produced 5/22 did not have an AGM nor did my father's which was produced 11/22. Both were shipped from the factory with an "enhanced" flooded battery

I'm really getting tired of you of you attacking everybody all the time on here quit responding to my posts. You basically said you heard of someone getting an AGM once but then said you and your dad didn't. Then went on to claim that you didn't know if it was a Lariat trim thing or random. So I was just showing people that my XLT trim came with one.

I never claimed everyone had an AGM just that everyone should check so that's one fact you got wrong. As for contributing facts posting a pic of my battery and giving my trim is a fact the same as the OP doing is a fact and is helping people figure out what battery's are in what trucks and trims. You coming in here saying like I told you in my previous post I don't know why some people get an AGM and some don't it might be random doesn't help. But someone who is helpful on here told me how to ignore people so good luck with your facts from here on out I wont have to see them.

Seems like it was random at the time, my father's is the same build, 2022 XL Ecoboost AWD CP360, built the last week before production switched over to the 23 and his came with an enhanced flooded battery.

I'm still surprised my non AGM '22 has not had any battery issues. I quit monitoring it from the app, removed the truck, etc etc and it's not exactly the greatest voltage paired with the short trips, but it still starts every time which is more than I can say for my previous Hybrid Escape. At this point I'm just testing to see how long it will last and then I'll go from there. If I take a bunch of short trips over and over the dome lights usually don't come on until I actually start the truck from inside, but every now and then especially with it being winter, when I go somewhere in town I just leave the truck running (like inside the gas station or to my storage unit - not while inside a grocery store lol).
