What did you drive before the Maverick?

Well.... I was going to trade our 2006 Volvo XC90 in until a yellow Ford Mustang decided to turn in front of my wife. Police cited him at 100% his fault. She hit him at 55MPH, completely tore off the front of his car, which in turn, pushed her into a light pole. Good thing is, she's OK and the insurance is paying out triple what my dealership would have given us for trade in value.

You can see the Mustang grill and emblem imbedded in what's left of our front drivers side bumper, and that battery and alternator in the picture was part of his car as well. That yellow piece behind the back right tire is his front bumper.

My wife was going to need a new SUV after we traded this in, as we are going to give our Hyundai Elantra to our daughter when she gets her license soon. So... this moved up our timeline and I got her this 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid:

Over the previous 6 years and 70k miles my Fuelly average is 37.5MPG. After 1200 miles on the Maverick I am currently at 33.9 - this is during the coldest week of the year with lots of remote starting. Interested to see what I will get once the weather is warmer...

cold is not the hybrid friend. I am trading in my 2019 rav4 hybrid today towards my cyber orange xlt hybrid. the toyota got in the summer about 43 mpg average, but 33mpg so far average in winter. so you are doing fine and it will get better!

Swapped my Fiesta ST to a hybrid mav as my daily, that thing was so fun to drive and got 33mpg. Keeping the 02 Montero will be storing it near the airport in Loreto, Baja once I finish building myself another 4x4 E350 box van.

Had a sweet 2002 Tacoma that had just recently received a new coat of paint. Some teenager decided to total it for me on July 6 last year. Bought a Maverick off the lot 3 weeks later. BTW, what does Ford have against green paint? It’s the best.
