My previous vehicles stopped squeaking when I used Rain-X or NuFinish polish on the windshield, though these weren't permanent fixes.
This isn't a fix. They are not talking about wiper noise. These have a tick/squeak primarily when cold that seems to be from the glass itself. Likely how it is seated in the frame and sealed. Others saying that their's went away after glass replacement indicates it is because it either wasn't seated well from the factory or had insufficient sealant.

The tech told me it is most likely the factory sealant isn't thick enough to space the glass out from the dash. Most likely it will have to taken out and resealed. If that can be done without breaking it.

So guys, unfortunately I have the same windshield "squeak" or "pop" on the passenger side, particularly when going over bumps. Like others have said, it is probably a small bit of play somewhere along the edge of the glass to insufficient sealant.

For those who have had this addressed by the dealer, anyone know whether Ford has communicated with dealers regarding this issue and instructed them to simply re-seal windshields upon customer request?

This is really the only issue I've had with my truck so far, and while it's not the end of the world I would like to have it resolved.

Gratuitous pic of my ceramic coated truck for attention... :D

Mine has gotten horrific since I had the windshield replaced. It clicks & pops relentlessly now. I plan to make the shop who replaced the windshield pull and re-seal it bc it is so obnoxious.

If you are at that stage in the game- I might suggest stepping up to the Acoustic windshield, its legit.

Tried and gave up bc it was such a PITA trying to get a shop to do it and use my insurance coverage (since it’s all VIN based). I’m sure it’s nice but it became too much of a time suck for me last time

Definitely have them fix it. Whoever did it did an equally poor job as the robot at Ford.
My factory rattle went away after Safelite replaced my windshield due to a rock crack. Best $100(deductible) I had spent, and no multiple trips(hours, weeks) to the dealer with still no solution.

Hi there. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.

Has anyone pulled the wiper cowl to inspect? I had this same issue on my 4th gen Ram. Turns out there's plastic clips below the bottom of the windshield that are glued in place from the factory. These were initially used to help hold the windshield in place. They are not needed afterwards. Once I removed these on my Ram, the cold creaks were gone. I'm speculating the Maverick also has them, as it sounds identical. I don't think it will be easy to get these? I also hate removing panels on a new vehicle -- as they sometimes do not go back on perfectly, and one could cause more rattles or leaks. I've had this issue since new (truck is < 2 months old).

Here's a thread to describe the issue (hopefully this is allowed):

Took a little bit to find on Facebook, but someone did find location pins stuck on the windshield of their maverick and their noise was fixed after removing them

^ Thanks! I'll have to check that out. Crap -- looks like you'd have to pull the windshield to remove them?

Just passed 1k miles on my Mav and mine has recently started doing this. Sounds like it’s coming from the lower part of the windshield. Only happens when going over bumps.

Mine still makes the noise. Some days it's worse and some it's hardly even noticeable. Even after a trip to the dealer where the master tech rode with me and heard it. But the next day he didn't hear it by himself so they couldn't "duplicate" the noise. He even knows what it is but they still gave it back to me squeaking like hell. At this point I will probably wait for a rock to hit it and replace it on my insurance.

They should reach out to Ford. Ford knows the problem well by now...yet is still sending out new units with the same issues.
