Unfortunately you are correct.Do people not see the prices for everything? Nobody's bought eggs recently?
I posted yesterday a 2019 75,000 mile Frontier SV for $25k, so go buy that if you think Mavericks are too expensive.

NoWould using the Farm Bureau discount break the price protection if it wasn't on the signed purchase agreement?
That makes $2,700 of increases since the Maverick came out! $1,000 + 1,200, + 500.Effective today, all trims had a price increase of $400 and Destination and Delivery increase of $100. You should be price protected by your dealer if they COVP'd your order. The person who ordered the vehicle needs to be the person who buys it to get price protection. I would request the DORA sheet from the time you ordered from your dealers. If they don't have it, they can be reprinted by the General Sales Manager or Inventory Manager.
Well I think the bottom line if your dealership is adamant that you'll pay window sticker price the best you can hope for is to pay it and try to get them to process the paperwork for it and whenever ford sends them the money the dealership can cut you a check. Some dealerships say ford takes their time refunding the money to them and their left "holding the bag" money wise. They should already know the process and ford can't make them do anything and I don't think they care IMO.My dealer is 100% going to screw me on this. Is there someone higher up than my dealer at Ford I can phone to tell my dealer how to be reimbursed & they're screwing me on a price increase.
When I ordered I believe I have a Dora & yes it was a COVP. However the dealership was admit I pay the price on the invoice/window sticker not the order price.
I am scheduled for 3/15, no wind sticker yet.
Order bank still active in Canada. Dunno about order bank status in any of the other countries south of the border where Mavericks are available for sale. Why would they do this when order banks are not open? In practice, it's doesn't seem like it should impact many (if they are protected). So...maybe..either:
a) A growing % of customers are not accepting their orders
b) Order banks going to open soon again
c) Can't think of another (insert good reason here)..
Not surprised…..have a hot product that everyone wants? Mark it up. I get that there are “challenges” in todays market but just because you “can” doesn’t mean you “should”. Hopeful that my dealer doesn’t jump on the bandwagon I’d and when the truck arrives. I don't assume the cost to build vehicles stays flat over time, so a pass through of some of the additional cost is to be expected. Not surprised…..have a hot product that everyone wants? Mark it up. I had a 3K offer like that and was it good for 750 off on the maverick in 2022. Worked fine without issue - Well the first one expired before my truck was built, I called ford afterwards and fussed, they sent me another one that hadn't expired when my truck arrived.related to this as a possible offset. Anyone else receive this and Can it be used on existing orders including private offers?![]()
I hope you didn't give too much of a deposit on an "order" that does not technically exist and won't for some time. A year could be optimistic. It's February. If 2024 order banks don't open until fall, you'll already have been waiting seven months before you even have an order. It may be another 7-10 months after that before your truck shows up -- if it gets built at all.
I am sorry to rain on your parade, but you are not a single step ahead of anyone who simply waits until the 2024 order banks open and walks into their local dealership the first day orders are being accepted.
Yes, unfortunately as I pointed out to the other guy (who I am not sure believes me), you were never actually "in line" in February of 2022. You never really got in line until your order was put into the system, at the same time as everyone else. And since it looks like you have a hybrid order, your odds are really 2 to 1 against being built this year.Yep, same thing happened to me. I just missed the 22 order cut off last January. I got in line at my dealer in February 22. Placed my order the first day of September 22 order banks opened. And so far have got nothing.
This kinda sucks, because not every dealer is willing to tell you what their allocation is. So you’re basically just guessing. Allocations shouldn’t matter customer orders, all it does it hurt the customer and put a bad taste in their mouth.Yes, unfortunately as I pointed out to the other guy (who I am not sure believes me), you were never actually "in line" in February of 2022. I keep telling people, if you want to maximize your odds of having your order built, the absolute No. 1 considering is ALLOCATION. If you haven't been totally immersed in the inner workings of Ford's order and delivery system for the past two years like many of us here, it's hard to understand, but basically if you don't place an order at a dealer with a large allocation, you really are hurting yourself. Every single vehicle Ford builds is awarded to a dealer based on the monthly allocation system, so the more Mavericks your dealer is "allocated" each month, the better.
It's better to be number 100 in line at a dealer that gets 25 Maverick allocations each month than it to be number 10 in line at a dealer that gets 1 Maverick allocation per month.
Yes, but to Ford, the dealer is the customer, not you. Ford builds vehicles and sells them to dealers that then sell them to consumers. Dealers that sell more vehicles to consumers buy more vehicles from Ford, and thus are awarded more vehicles than dealers that sell fewer vehicles. This kinda sucks, because not every dealer is willing to tell you what their allocation is.
