Could someone look at their Maverick and let me know what you are seeing on wiper position when they are off. Mine just doesn't look right. Passenger is high actually drivers looks a little off. If I have to take them off I assume it's a nut on top?

Not saying this is happening to you. I did think I had the same problem and found if I shut the vehicle off with intermittent wiper setting on, the right wiper did not fully retract until I started the engine again. I cannot tell from your description; your problem may be completely different.

That does look a bit high for the truck being turned off. But that looks about right for when the truck is turned on. It is a common complaint and common "problem" here on the forum. Ford claims it is by design and not a "problem". If you go look at the passenger side windshield, you will see a little circle with a black dot in it. I bet your wiper is close to or on that dot. That is where Ford claims it should rest.

For some of us, the passenger wiper blade literally runs over onto the molding of the windshield, off towards the passenger side mirror. It is crazy.

I just took my Maverick to the dealer to have them look at the wiper blade positioning and they said thats just normal ??? Yeah right. That dont seem right at all. The blade hits the side like its too long and wont go down all the way. But if it was shorter it may not clean the top of the windshield.

Did a tech check it or was that the service advisors response? Either way not sure of anything else you can do other than try a different dealer. Is yours WAY OFF from what (paneubert) described in his post above on the subject when the wipers are OFF?

Mine does too. I thought when off, they should be hidden behind/under the hood like the cars of the 70's did

Supposedly the mechanic who did my grabby brake software update looked at the wiper. And said its normal. Would be nice to here from others if this is normal.

Make sure you check them with the wipers OFF. Like @CG - All the way said. If they are in the intermittent position they start about an inch up from park.

Ford has been building cars for over a century and they still manage to screw up the most basic things.

Mine looks lower, but does not touch the molding, it has about 3/4" before it would touch:

It didn't matter, if the engine, or vipers running, that's where they stop all the times.

Check the length of the passenger side viper blade, on mine, it's about 2" shorter than the passenger side.

Has anyone fixed or had a dealer fix their wipers being high? Mind tried to retract into snow and now seems off positionally.

My passenger side was too high, I pulled the wiper arm and readjusted it so it is now perfect.
