I wasn’t aware that the 12v outlet in the cab was always active. If so, that would be a convenient place to plug in a battery minder.

I base this on my dashcam it stays on I can see it's light flashing from inside the house an hour after I park and go back out and unplug it. So I am assuming it stays active as it used to shut down when I shut down the other vehicle it was in and it doesn't in this one.

I noticed the same thing after I installed my dashcam. It's not always active, when I leave for work in the morning it is off. I am guessing it just keeps power on for something like 3-4 hours after you turn the vehicle off. I honestly like having mine on when I'm away from the vehicle. Just incase something happens. Also, the draw they put on the battery is very minimal. When I was in a service truck our company installed dashcams in all of the trucks that were wired to the battery. I went on vacation and left the truck sit for 10 days and it fired right up.

today I got the front sides tinted to match factory

also added the tailgate assist.

With mine? Big day considering the last 14.5 months just had a lot of waiting, wondering and false starts and stops. I got a scheduled build date (16th) and a Window Sticker. This might be it.

Minor stuff today. I made velcro mounts for my catch can drain hoses. I also made velcro mounts for my Wile E. Coyote figurines. My friend Dan who passed away gave these to me a few years back. Wile E. Coyote was his hero and mine as well. I also installed a radio dress up plate to correct the unfinished look around this part of the dash. The light grey plastic could be seen around the edges so I painted it up with a sharpie to hide it before installing the trim piece.

Color matched my keys on some down time at work. Did a good amount of clear to keep them protected. Going to wet sand and buff them too.

Thanks. I'll need to check my Maverick to see how long that port stays active. If it's only a short while, then it will not be as handy I initially thought.

If your tech savvy, you can change the background of the CarPlay to anything you want. Needs an iPhone on iOS 16.1.2 or below I think
