Is it just me, or are these September new order people ten times more weepy than the original 2022 order people?
It's one of the stages of the Maverick process. Enlightenment will come later grasshopper.

When you can snatch the pebble from my hand, it will be time for you to leave. Still, Master Po cannot guarantee you receive a Maverick. Cherish the pebble as I do, and name it Maverick.

Just saying I did not know that there was a constraint with the hybrid until after I ordered , it doesn’t help that , I priority 19 and ordered on the last day. Perhaps like many thought why ; why take my order?
if no allocations. ( I I didn’t know that was an issue in the mix either I asked my dealer this question they don’t like the question. ā€œ That’s what we do at what we in business for what is the replyā€ .)
Dealers says it took FMC TIME TO PROCESS AND DISCOVER HOW MANY ORDERS COME IN , The reason I offered ,,well seems ford esp give 2021 orders pending ,open banks 2/3 days let the ā€œ dust settleā€ and see where its at with numbers , then open up another 2 days Perhaps in a week or two as needed.

We waited 15 months to get our Lucid Air. Delivered last Friday evening. Picked up by Lucid this morning to fix a large variety of software issues. Been waiting 13 months for our Maverick. Oddly, more excited to get the Maverick than I was the Lucid. We saw a Maverick over the weekend driving in front of us. Just increases the desire to get one on the rare occasions when we see one. Hopefully this year.
How r u liking the Lucid ? My fiend is knee deep working on those S/W issues :)

I knew before I ordered my Lariat hybrid that there was a risk. I put down $1,000 and ordered on the first day which should have guaranteed delivery of my Maverick. Because of Ford's system of which order gets built, no one really knows if first-day-ordered Mavericks will get built this year. Any basic computer system could track orders as they are entered and Ford should have immediately stopped taking hybrid orders when the number hit Ford's build expectations. But... Ford took approximately twice as many hybrid orders as they expect to build. Pathetic and inexcusable!

So what is Ford's solution? Offer those who ordered hybrids the "opportunity" to switch to Eco at no cost. While this will probably guarantee a 23 Maverick it will also ensure Ford additional profit. The hybrid drive train costs significantly more than the Eco drive train. In addition, my Lariat requires going to AWD with the Eco so I get to spend a couple thousand more. More profit for Ford for every one of us that switches to Eco. Besides, the switch may keep us from going to the competition. Brilliant business plan, Ford!!

I admit that an Eco Maverick is still better than the competition and I may switch if it looks like my hybrid won't get built. My problem with Ford is the lack of transparency with the order process and not being honest as hybrid orders were taken. After last year Ford knows they have a high-demand vehicle and they can treat potential customers like crap and we still hang on. If there was another option like the Maverick I would be done with Ford. I do know that when it's time to trade our other vehicle I doubt I will even look at a Ford product.

Even though my Maverick was just built yesterday I still don't feel like I am actually going to get it. My father feels like he will never get his hybrid lariat.

I have soured on the brand immensely because of the whole dealership and ordering experience the last year. My closest dealership who my parents, sister and I have bought 4 Fords from in the past decade and where my father ordered his Maverick from absolutely ripped him off recently when he brought in a 2014 fusion 2.0l ecoboost I bought for him. I also bought an escape for my mom and both the fusion and escape have been getting recall notices non stop the last 2 years.

Neither the dealer I ordered my Maverick from or my fathers actually communicate with us on anything, ford doesn't either. I was buying the maverick to replace another vehicle I had that I use as my commuter and thats in for a transmission replacement so I ordered a Ioniq 5 2 months ago. The dealer kept me up to date about the process and shipping all the way from south korea. It came in last week and I didn't constantly worry about the dealer screwing me.

I think what Ford should have done is still build regular dealer stock in whatever order their current allocation system is and special customer orders be built in the order it was received. Or just finish the re order and rollover/canceled 22 orders first.

I have been on the edge about keeping it or selling it once I get it. I refuse to let the dealer mark it up after waiting a year for one. Only problem is I don't want anything else. I just wanted a small truck to use as a commuter and mountain bike shuttle, but the whole Ford experience lately has destroyed my goodwill for them.

Ford told everyone what to expect. They were fully transparent. Problem is the dealers didn't adhere to it. And the consumers decided to roll the dice in large quantity. Now they are mad at Ford instead of the dealer.

Ford did a poor job last year predicting things. This year they learned and told everyone what to expect. Not their fault people didn't listen. But keep tilting at windmills. Nothing anyone says to you will change you from being the person who blames others for your decisions.

Mine will be 15 months from order to build date. I figure 2 more months on top of that for delivery, maybe more. The only constraint item on my xlt is CP360 and I figure it's still worth the wait. Remember... ā€œHAVING IS NOT SO PLEASING A THING, AFTER ALL, AS WANTING. IT IS NOT LOGICAL BUT OFTEN TRUE.ā€ – SPOCK

Well, easy. Just take your Maverick and enjoy and let others know your experience and see how things play out. I think our old way of doing things is gone and I'm as sad as anyone about that but there's nothing I can do. Except maybe have another beer and throw another log on the fire.

Any time I contemplate posting a whiny post, I think about what you Rollover people have gone through, then STFU.
I received an email yesterday evening stating my truck has been built.

Wow! Not sure why you are insulting me . I totally disagree with your first two sentences but you are entitled to your opinion.

The whole Maverick ordering process is much like the Kubler Ross Stages of Grief.

It starts out about 30 days post order. Then you ride the wave of grief sometimes repeating, skipping, and sitting stuck in some stages.

But it all ends, eventually. You either ride the wave of confusion, grief, depression, denial. Or you bail out of the process all together…or you die.

In the best case scenario, you learn to accept that it’s only a material possession. One that scratches easily, has its fair share of quirks, and eventually the dealer calls and says that your truck is on the way. The only way to successfully reach this stage is to get off of this forum. Quickly. Most here are ruminating in the ā€œdepressionā€ stage and it’s only going to bring you down.

Other folks can’t handle the roller coaster. They bail out and buy Corollas (šŸ˜‚), pay $10k over MSRP, or eventually get their truck only to spend all of their time whining about it on this forum.

Its all up to you how you react. Can you hang? Is it worth the turmoil? No one else can answer that but you.
