It seems like Ford won't fix anything

Popping noise in stero nope

Rust in rear tailgate hinge (came that way) nope

Rear wheel out of camber needs linkage replaced (like the older ford's they took the part from) nope have your tires wear out quicker

Battery going dead while parked nope thats normal

Auto start stop not working nope normal

Rotten egg smell nope cars just stink

Ptu error 4wd fault nope its fine

Awd unavailable cant replicate

Grinding noise in transmission in 3rd gear going up a hill nope can't replicate

Alternator cooking the battery at higher rpm nope tests fine (meter shows its bad)

Now it's leaking fuild. It takes 28 days to get it in to the dealer ends up costing me 60 bucks each time to go there never gets fixes you wait all day 8 hours they spend 15 minutes on it then back out. Can't find can't replicate

This is my third Ford and all I've ever had to bring them to dealerships for is recalls and a few warranty repairs that were covered (prematurely rusted out exhaust and a blown out strut). I will say that Ford service at many dealers is the worst of any brand I've owned. Sorry you're going through this but maybe you should take advantage of stellar resale values and purchase something else but I wouldn't expect things to change with that Ford dealer......

I'm afraid I agree with you all. The best part so far is getting a text message from Ford that recalls are due. This is while the truck is sitting at the dealership for two weeks. WTF?

I find it hard to believe that your dealer won’t address one thing on the list. The battery issue is known and has a fix. Maybe put some energy into complaining to Ford HQ.
My last contact with FoMoCo, I was told to take issues up with my dealership. Ford doesn't care about their customers. I think most here will agree

When I had my 2003 F-150 XLT in for service at around 36K miles, the dealer came back and said the rear brakes were all rusted out and it would be hundreds of dollars to replace them. I was literally a couple hundred miles out of warranty and pointed out that brakes should not need extensive repair or replacement of rusted parts at that point. Didn't matter, no warranty.

I wrote a letter to the CEO and very shortly afterward his assistant called me and arranged for Ford to pick up most of the cost for the service. That was when Bill Ford was still the CEO, so lots of changes have occurred since then.

If I was having the same experience as the OP is now, I'd sell the truck and never look back. Fortunately, my Maverick has been stellar in the 14 months and 7.6K miles I've had it. (Knock on wood. Hard.)

One minor service call and Ford Dealer put me at the top of the line since I was under warranty, 1000 miles on the odometer. The thing that did concern me was anything and everything out of warranty has a require diagnostic service charge of $183 just to plug in diagnostic computer.

Last year my f150 had a transmission harness issue at 151k miles. the TSB allotted coverage up to 150k, my dealer was able to get the part swapped for free under the TSB extended warranty with no trouble and saved me $1500. I'd wager most issues are due to incompetent or lazy dealers vs Ford themselves. Given my 150 was a later year model (13') so most issues were pretty well known and easy to diagnose/fix.

I'm guessing that is so you don't go there to get the diag and go to another shop thus wasting their time. I took my bolt to Chevy for software update under warranty and they charged me like $200 but applied to he bill or removed if under warranty as long as the work is done there.

I bought a new F350 a couple years ago that would randomly not start for minutes, hours or days. I kept taking it in and they couldn't replicate. I told them how to replicate: drive it somewhere where it would be really inconvenient for it to not start again lol.

After over a year, I finally took it in and told them to keep it. At that point I had less than 5000 miles on it because we had to stop driving it. We could only drive it for errands when one of us could sit in the car with the engine running. I left it at the dealer and gave them my permission to have someone drive it as their daily driver for as long as it takes. They said they couldn't do that, come get it. I said it doesn't do me any good to have it because I can't drive it anywhere, they might as well store it for me.

While it sat there, I searched online forums and gave the dealer suggestions. ("We can't just start randomly replacing parts.") Finally I called the Ford 800 number and said I was ready to start the lemon law process. The gave me a case number to give to the dealer. The service manager drove it home that night and acknowledged I had an issue when he couldn't get to work the next morning.

I don't know if this is true, but the service manager said the Ford case number gave them access to support and parts from Ford that they can't initiate themselves.
