Your warranty is good at any Ford dealership. Try a different dealership. I have owned Mercury, Ford and Lincoln cars. I had all of them serviced at the same Ford dealership. And by the way I never bought a car from the dealership I used for service. Never had a complaint.

15 visits across 2 dealers and 8 months for rattles, squeaks, steering wheel vibration, and auto start stop not working.

I have probably cost Ford a 1-2k in labor alone across my visits. None of my issues have been fixed.
Dosent sound like you cost them much more than the Uber / Lyft bill due to the fact it sounds like they didnt even work on your truck ....

Better question: which state doesn't? Seems they all do. As it's state law, the exact requirements including repair attempts, time since purchase, procedure, etc. vary by state but they all have one..
I believe OP is Canadian

Was merely responding to the question of states having lemon laws.

As for OP, who you note is in BC, while there are no lemon laws, Canada has CAMVAP which can provide much the same assistance. It’s an arbitration process. Looks like you usually don’t even need to involve a lawyer unlike a U.S. lemon laws claim.

https://www.camvap.ca/

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Motor_Vehicle_Arbitration_Plan

The Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan (CAMVAP) is a dispute resolution program for consumers in Canada who are experiencing problems with the assembly of their vehicle or with how the manufacturer implements its new-vehicle warranty. CAMVAP covers new, used, owned or leased vehicles from the current model year and up to an additional four model years old.[1]

CAMVAP is an arbitration program, which is free to consumers. Hearings are held in the consumer's home community. The process normally takes less than 70 days from start to finish. Most consumers are able to handle their own case without the assistance of an attorney. The manufacturers do not use attorneys; their representatives are usually current (or retired) district parts and services representatives. A vehicle inspection is normally part of an arbitration hearing, and the arbitrator can order a technical inspection of the vehicle (at the program's expense) if necessary.

CAMVAP is available to owners and lessees of new and used vehicles that were originally purchased or leased in Canada from an authorized dealer (except for BMW and—by extension—MINI, the only car manufacturer which does not participate in the CAMVAP scheme). The owner (or lessee) must be a resident of Canada. Vehicles owned by businesses may be eligible if they meet certain criteria. CAMVAP is available in every Canadian province and territory.

CAMVAP arbitrators can order the manufacturer to:

  • Buy back the vehicle
  • Repair it at the manufacturer's expense
  • Pay for repairs already completed
  • Pay out-of-pocket expenses for items such as towing, diagnostic testing, rental cars and accommodations related to the vehicle's problem
The arbitrator can also clear the manufacturer of liability with respect to issues raised by the consumer.

Looks like solid research. Hopefully OP uses this to their advantage.

This is my third Ford and all I've ever had to bring them to dealerships for is recalls and a few warranty repairs that were covered (prematurely rusted out exhaust and a blown out strut). I will say that Ford service at many dealers is the worst of any brand I've owned. Sorry you're going through this but maybe you should take advantage of stellar resale values and purchase something else but I wouldn't expect things to change with that Ford dealer......
Each dealer is independent. Kind of like saying all Pizzerias are terrible. They are also very expensive franchises so I suspect they'd oil the squeaky wheel: say a driving billboard that says "John Doe Ford will not honor new car warranty" or "John Doe Ford can't fix a car right".

I'm on my 15th dealer visit for multiple issues.

Ford doesn't give a fuck about you and your warranty is useless. Strap in or sell it.
Maybe its time for a class action lawsuit

I'm afraid I agree with you all. The best part so far is getting a text message from Ford that recalls are due. This is while the truck is sitting at the dealership for two weeks. WTF?
For most of the recalls currently out there Ford does not have the parts. My dealer just took care of the first one but there are others, mostly minor, that still have to be taken care of at some time. I'm not worried; had similar situations with other manufacturers. Especially with the hybrid and EV platforms all the manufacturers are having teething problems.

I never said all Ford service departments are terrible but I've lived in 4 states since I move a lot for work and have yet to find a good service department. The last one I went to less than a month ago told me to come back another time for the trailer brake controller recall despite the fact that I made an appointment for the recall work. The service advisors bickered over who was going to help me when I walked in and then when I decided to leave they gave me keys to someone else's car. Total disaster. Meanwhile my girlfriend's Toyota gets picked up from her home and returned in a timely manner and gets a carwash too.

So far, this has been my experience.

I hit the curb with my Maverick and blew out the passenger side tires along with some nasty curb rash. I had it towed to the closest Ford dealership. I asked the dealership to check for any alignment or suspension issues once the tires were replaced. I was told that nothing was wrong other than the replaced tires, which the dealership did, and the curb rash, which the dealership didn't do because they don't have a wheel repair person or service. When I went to pick up my truck, I looked at the bill and other than the tire replacement, there was a "multi-point" inspection done that came back with no problems.

I get in my truck, and my steering wheel is about 30 degrees off center and the truck pulls strongly to the right, so it obviously needed an alignment. I started driving it, and the passenger side front wheel was making a loud humming/buzzing sound. So another obvious problem that was ignored. The Ford dealership gave my truck back to me with 2 obvious issues.

I took it to my local mechanic, who diagnosed the humming and found that I needed a wheel bearing replaced. They also aligned it.

Fast forward a week or so later, and I get the "please rate your dealership experience" email. I explained the situation in detail in the review and gave the dealership 1 star. I get a call from the service manager who said that he gave the service associate and mechanic in charge of my truck a talking to. That doesn't help me. I just wanted to know how they gave me my truck back with 2 obvious problems and a fake multi-point check. He didn't have an answer for that. All I got was a lame apology.

I'm never going back to that Ford dealership for service.

It seems like Ford won't fix anything

Popping noise in stero nope

Rust in rear tailgate hinge (came that way) nope

Rear wheel out of camber needs linkage replaced (like the older ford's they took the part from) nope have your tires wear out quicker

Battery going dead while parked nope thats normal

Auto start stop not working nope normal

Rotten egg smell nope cars just stink

Ptu error 4wd fault nope its fine

Awd unavailable cant replicate

Grinding noise in transmission in 3rd gear going up a hill nope can't replicate

Alternator cooking the battery at higher rpm nope tests fine (meter shows its bad)

Now it's leaking fuild. It takes 28 days to get it in to the dealer ends up costing me 60 bucks each time to go there never gets fixes you wait all day 8 hours they spend 15 minutes on it then back out. Can't find can't replicate
What year is this vehicle, 1999?
