I locked my new Maverick with a keyfob. The gas door isn't locked. Is that normal or it should be locked?

Hybrid locks. Echoboost does not.

I believe that only the hybrid gas door is locked because it is pressurized and has a release inside.

This is correct for the hybrid. For the ecoboost it's my understanding that it's impossible to syphon fuel out of the tank due to some kind of restriction. I'd rather have it easily opened than to have someone pry it open and damage it and the paint.

OK... I can understand saving a couple of bucks with the non-locking gas door. But no lock on the glove box? That bugs me.

Yep. One of the first cheap purchases I made was a couple nice funnels that are the right smallest diameter to open the fancy Ford fuel filler cap. Maverick came with the tiny white stock Ford funnel, but ones with a larger "wide" opening funnel can be sourced easily. Got one in the garage and one in the truck.

Our Prius (had 2) does not have a locking glovebox and neither does my 2001 Ranger XLT. I thought a locking glovebox was a thing of the past...?

Every vehicle I've ever owned had one (latest was my 2009 Subaru Forester). I thought all vehicles had them...

My 2001 Ranger was the first in then 38 years of car ownership that did not have a locking glovebox except my 1967 Bug.

Last time I used a locking glove box was my 84 Chrysler because all it did was delay me finding out something had been stolen from it.

One more key to lose. I'm more annoyed there's no light in that box. I'll have to fix that issue.

Source or link on the funnels you mentioned? Thanks...
