Correct on Hoover. Ordered our 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid Oct31 2021. 6 plus production dates later, we were kicked to a 2023 order. Supposedly have a Jan 23 production date.See, that's the question I have. Was the order count they gave me for Long-Lewis or that Long-Lewis? I'm assuming you used Hoover? I used Prattville.
Is yours a hybrid or EB order?
Ford had to keep order banks open for some time to allow 22 to 23 rollovers a chance to put a new order.I probably have too much faith in Ford but personally I think if Ford had a number in mind that they could build they could have shut off the orders when that number was reached. And they did shut off the hybrid orders early. So, I am not convinced that they are not going to be able to build most of those hybrids. Only time will show of course.
Third times the charm? So they had a handle on what could be built, and each time they over-estimated.
The only thing for sure is that SOME dealers took way more orders than they had allocations for. Those orders will most likely not be built as MY 2023 vehicles. What does this mean? Simple, if your dealer has an annual allocation of say 125 Mavericks for MY 23, and your dealer took 150 orders, then they over ordered. If your order is # 135 for your dealer, does that mean you won't see your truck? Not exactly. If your dealer ordered 120 Hybrid, and only 30 EBs, likely they will see all of their EBs. If you ordered an EB, you stand a good chance of seeing your truck. If you ordered hybrid, (like me), your chances could be slim to none, (and Slim might be out fishing). We'll all have to wait and see depending on our individual circumstances. Is there any real news here? Ford took 86,000 Maverick orders for 2023.
Of those, the vast majority were for hybrids.
But Ford can only build about 30% of 2023 Mavs as hybrids. That is FAR fewer than how many hybrids were ordered.
All this has been known for months. So, if you have a hybrid order that is not a rollover at Priority 2, getting your vehicle is pretty much a crapshoot at this point.
On the other hand, if you have an Ecoboost order, you should feel somewhat confident of being scheduled and built at some point in the 23 production cycle.
Again, nothing really new here. Sounds like the OP was unaware, or hadn't really let the reality of the situation sink it yet.
This makes no sense! Priority "99" is a holding pattern for orders you don't want Ford to pull from your order bank. Could be due to commodity restraints, stock order allocations ( think Lariat trim that isn't available for a while...). These 99's can be changed by the Dealer any time. Ford CAN change a Priority Code but generally only does that when an order in the bank meets allocation or special consideration ( like Ford allowing a replacement vehicle for a damaged or lemon law unit). Anyone with a Priority 99 won't have their order even considered by Ford until that is changed.Just got off phone w/Ford nothing changed on my 2 ecoboost fwd, xlt's. They have been converted from 2022 January orders to 2023. She said to have dealer put to priority 99 and to make sure the "transition offers" that expire January 23rd are attached to deals @ dealer so the remain intact. Dealer keeps telling me that they do not(or cant) change the priority codes. Ford said if they don't change contact ford rep & if still doesn't happen contact Ford & will go up the chain w/them to get resolved. Makes no sense, Ford can see that they are rollovers in their system and it should be handled with them & dealer. Working on it.
Was going to stop by dealer today & see what they say. There is always so much conflicting information between dealer & Ford not sure who is being truthful or correct. When we originally ordered In January , only option on the xlt's, eco boost , fwd's were the tow hitches. I've added moon roof & sliding rear windows. This makes no sense! They're called mods, but judging by the unsubstantiated sh*t that's allowed to trend here, they don't work.Is there a FUD filter for this forum? I'd love to turn it on.
I can tell you that the typical sales person cannot even access the information needed to tell you anything about your order status. Sales managers can...but even some of those are NOT good with the internal workings of Fords Concepts type programs. Meaning they won't or don't want to take time to go into them. If lucky enough to have a sales person that has this access, you can get REAL information. This can be order status...but if the sales person cares they can tell you about other similar orders and are they being built or not. Many of the true Fleet sales staff will have this info access, some old school dealers will allow some of their staff access too.Was going to stop by dealer today & see what they say. The mods are to keep hateful content and spam off the forum. If we banned unsubstantiated information, there would be no forum. We might as well just read the Ford press releases. They're called mods, but judging by the unsubstantiated sh*t that's allowed to trend here, they don't work.
Well, all these sudden hybrid orders at Long-Lewis makes me feel better. I thought I was having to fight ~110 other EB orders.Correct on Hoover. Ordered our 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid Oct31 2021. 6 plus production dates later, we were kicked to a 2023 order. Supposedly have a Jan 23 production date.
We ordered #2 day of order banks opening. LL of Hoover will danced around dealer allocation questions. LL touts themselves as one of the largest Ford dealers in the SE.
