Comments previous to mine saying they’d probably put em all at priority 2 on the same date etc were postulating that it would be “fair” if ford did that. I certainly never thought they were gonna try and be “fair”
I guess some people have the ability to understand better context than others. Some people are able to see that Ford, possibly attempting to make one component of a much larger process, fair, is not the same thing as Ford trying to be completely fair in the entire process.

And some people are more obsessed with life being "fair" than others. I really dont understand where anyone ever got the idea that buying a new, scarce, hot commodity is a fair process.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they put them ahead of currently unscheduled ‘23s, but also build as is appropriate for what supplies they have on hand. For example a canceled 22 and a new 23 with the same build would see the 22 built first. Alternatively a low (or no) constraint new 23 will get built before a high constraint 22. That makes sense and would be east for them to do.

Nobody would be surprised, because that is exactly what has been the widely discussed plan for quite a while.

First of all, is yours a canceled 22 order? Making it had a vin and scheduled build date like we are referring to in this thread? If so, Ford is entering this orders not your dealer. If you had a scheduled order that was canceled you would have a private offer because they only scheduled order that had a COVP approval.

Now if you had a unscheduled 22 order then the dealer needed to put in a new 23 order before it closed in September. If you did not have an approval COVP approval, you would not receive a private offer.
Tim @fordvideoguy,

Not OP but have a Private Offer question I hope you can shed some light on.

I had a scheduled with VIN MY22 order that was cancelled by Ford and reordered as a MY23 by Ford;

Wednesday - Went by dealer in the evening and verified order rolled over to NY23 and 99 Priority Code. Dealer confirmed order and assigned Priority Code 10.

Thursday - Chatted with Ford Customer Service and verified order entered into system as MY23 and Priority Code 10. Customer Service sees no private offer for this order.

Friday - Call Ford Marketing to enquire about Private Offer and they can't find one assigned to this order either.

Monday - I guess I am going back to the dealer to see if they did a proper COVP with my order. With no private offer there is no way I can pay for the ($2500+) MY23 price increase after placing my order in October 2021.

Are you saying that my order has a Valid COVP because it was scheduled and had a VIN assigned back in September?

Finally got the call today…Oh yeah, you are not getting a 22. This was after I sent them all the information regarding my 1/9 death nail I mean build date.
We changed your priority and everything is online for 2023….and this was the best part…you will have your Maverick really soon-
or some of it, at a much higher interest rate. Here is that deleted part you can order for $500 extra…
It just goes on and on.

My dealer was able to edit my Lariat Lux Pkg order late this afternoon - at least according to them. I called FORD marketing and they say my MY23 order is priority code 10, so they must have done something with it.

Not according to mine...and Tim Bartz. Supposedly, there will be a fix by end of day Monday. Not holding my breath...but waiting is getting to be the norm.

The only thing Ford transitioned successfully is the screwed up process and the endless waiting.

Thanks. No need to make a trip to the dealership til it gets open. I'll keep an eye out on the forum for the latest intel!

There are so many folks replying to these issues that are NOT in the group that is effected. Hard to sort it out sometimes.

As soon as my dealer and I can modify my cancelled 2022 (with assigned VIN) Lariat with LUX package, changed by FORD to a 2023 order, I'll be reporting it.

I got brave and ADDED a hitch to my XL today hoping that the priority 2 will make it less likely to be a big deal.
