I can't stand the orange center console and cup holder orange, but the orange on the AC vents is a nice highlight. The door handles are eh, but I think I can probably replace those too. I also don't like the orange stitching or the multicolored seats, but I'm going to put seat covers on so that doesn't matter.
How can you replace the door handles? Don’t think I have seen anyone do that yet. They seem to be firm on there

Everything about the standard XLT interior is horrendous.

I would have added it in a heartbeat if it was available on the fx4.
The online builder tool let's you get fx4 + bap. That is what I ordered... my dealer didn't bat an eye when I requested those options together.

Now I feel like they are going to screw up my order on purpose in hopes I walk away so they can sell higher than msrp

I'm pretty sure the door panel has to come off but I'm not 100%. I know if you take out the four bolts on the handle that's not enough. I don't know, if they're not replaceable then there's several ways to change the color of them. Not my biggest gripe so may leave them alone. Definitely getting rid of the console orange though. It's just not worth 1645 just to get rid of a few orange things inside the truck.

Trust me I'd rather have the black than the orange, just not willing to pay the price for it. Wanted a Lariat EB FWD, but they decided to take away that build this year.. so I got an XLT because wasn't giving up EB or paying for AWD.

The standard XLT interior is why I went with the XLT instead of XL or Lariat -- I LOVE the orange accents and the blue-jean-esque seats. To each their own, viva la difference!

Love the orange accents! BAP to dark, Black only good after washed for 20 minutes even with a great wax job.
Have had two black vehicles never again.

Tim seemed to indicate Ford will save the hitches for the packages that include them. But we also don't know how many hybrids have hitches. If you have a hybrid order with a standalone hitch, you likely had better odds at the powerball last night.
Yes I would be one of those, and you know how I play powerball, I never have bought a ticket, I am thinking the same thing here.

We may also learn that it is likely Ford pays Toyota licensing fees on its hybrid drivelines which further eats into profit. This was the case on CMax hybrid back in 2013-2015.
Should not be an issue now. Patents generally last 20 years and the Prius has been out since 1997 so the patent is probably older than that.

Unless they've changed it, the build and price let's you add it but it specifically states at the bottom when you hit the information button on BAP that it is not available with fx4. My dealer noticed it when I was ordering so I didn't risk it.

I'm feeling pretty good about my Lariat FX4 with 4K after Tim's video. Hopefully my dealer gets some allocated. According to my salesman, the dealer received only 28 new Maverick orders for 2023. Not a super high-volume dealer apparently...
In hindsight, I might have been better off going to one of the other dealers that received more Mavericks over the last year. In reality, I might not have had time to get an order in if I had shopped dealers.
