My hybrid died Friday, no power at all…again. Last time was in June and dealer had it for two weeks. Replaced battery and wiring harness. Ran fine for two months, this time my wife and I were an hour from home. Jumped it and as soon as the negative touched the dash immediately lite up. Drove it 65 miles to local dealer and it ran fine, all systems go. Get to dealer and leave it running while discussing with service advisor. He says they have had no issues with hybrid Mavericks, and they can’t even look at it for a few weeks.
so I tell him I will shut it down and see if it will restart, if it restarts I will bring it home, if not I will leave at the dealer.
I park it just in case, shut it off and motor shakes violently for about two seconds and then it shuts down. Try to restart and once again full power loss.
so again it sits dead at the dealer with them having no idea what to do.
I honestly would sell it but I invested a lot in the front end to be able to flat tow it. I recently towed it 900 miles with zero issues.

Sorry to hear that. One of the main reasons I ordered one was to flat tow.

Wow, also ordered FE hybrid too so I could flat tow. We just picked our Maverick up on 10 Oct. Hopefully your power loss is not contagious!
Best of luck! 😕

I wonder if your harness replacement was faulty as well and finally the connection failed? It seemed Ford finally officially has acknowledged the issue so maybe they did not fix the harnesses until more recently?

If you were built after May then the issue should not happen to your truck.

That's the story, anyway.

Yeah that's it, at least that was the OP's first issue. Likely they got another bad harness so it happened again. It's not clear if Ford has actually changed the harness spec (or if the supplier change their process), or if/when that was. OP might have just gotten another bad harness to replace his first bad harness. Ford at least acknowledges the problem now so I assume they aren't using the same problematic harness... at least I hope so. Mine got replaced also, a couple months ago.
