Anyone added a second hybrid battery?

Thank you! Although I think the improved HF55 power-split transmission is mostly due to the needs of AWD and 4k towing.

A lot of people are ignorant to the fact that the 2025+ hybrids have a noticeably improved drivetrain over the earlier models, probably because Ford made no advertisement about it. And even among the people who know that upgrades were made, many of them don't realize that ALL hybrids get the improved power-split trans (no need for AWD or 4k towing packages, if you just want the improved power and beefier cooling). The massive price jump for the hybrid wasn't only inflation and price-gouging. There was a substantial upgrade hidden in plain sight.

The real winners might be the owners of pre-2025 hybrids who have inflated resale value, because buyers don't realize there is a difference.

But as it gets known, the values will correct themselves.

I think the same thing can be said for the EcoBoost Maverick's also, Ford stayed quiet about the new 2.0 with the dual injection as well.

True, although that one makes a bit more sense to me, because the updates to the Ecoboost were a mixed bag (the new GPF on the Ecoboost probably reduces power, although the specs didn't change), and the improvement of cleaner intake valves is less tangible than "more power and better efficiency".

I don't think Ford did this for any of our benefit, however. The were protecting their end of year sales and future resale values too!
