tires make a difference too. For all the people ordering XLT or Lariat and opting for biggest wheels available (or people adding larger after purchase) they are not going to be getting that extra 1 MPG over my stock XL steelie wheel equipped truck. Go with FX4 or lifted and you lose a little more mileage.My COMBINED mileage for the last 3500 miles is 31, I do drive efficiently & most of my driving is 57-62mph. My best tank has been a little over 33 & the worst was a little over 28. FWD is rated at 1 more mpg, but in reality it will be at least 2, not a lot of difference, but a difference.
