I wonder how many people are ordering an Ecoboost and a hybrid, but are just ordering an Ecoboost as a temporary because they assume they will get the Eco months before the hybrid. Then they will sell the Eco to the dealer, Vroom, Carmax, family member, etc.

Just makes deciding easier. I couldn’t decide between a hybrid and an EB AWD. I ordered a hybrid at the last minute yesterday. They took my order and I got the email from Ford. But I would have been just as happy with EB.

Sounds like you have a wise dealer at least. Can't say the same for even some of the well known ones on this very forum, who seem to have taken in an impossible-to-acquire number of hybrid orders.

The Maverick is such a unique vehicle in itself that I think most every Hybrid owner would equally enjoy an EcoBoost, MPG aside of course.

For those that have had an Ecoboost for at least a few months, what are your mpg on the average? Is it almost 30 ?

My 2.0L AWD all time MPG is right about 24, but I do much more short trips in the city than highway (I would estimate 60/40 city/hwy). I recently hand calculated 29 on a 400 mile round trip that was ~80% highway, but I've also had almost entirely in town tanks that were lower 20s.

Likely a dumb question, but does AWD vs FWD affect mpg ?

14k miles on mine, averaging just over 27mpg lifetime. 70/30 highway/city.

I have similar results to cactusgray's. Lifetime average (6k miles) is 28 to 29mpg with something like 50 to 60% highway. Keep in mind I also try to drive efficiently. Everyone else on the road that accelerates past me to the next red light will get 23 to 24mpg and that's why you'll see a lot of people on this forum disappointed with their mpg.

My COMBINED mileage for the last 3500 miles is 31, I do drive efficiently & most of my driving is 57-62mph. My best tank has been a little over 33 & the worst was a little over 28. FWD is rated at 1 more mpg, but in reality it will be at least 2, not a lot of difference, but a difference.
