It was not made clear in prior Ford Corporate communications if COVP/ROVP was going to be required at all. I beleive the "second" screenshot in the first post is the "older" communication. They are separate communications, sent on separate dates. Right @93nighthawk ?

No, it is the same communication, I had to snip in two sections to get it all.

If an order is in can we assume that the ROVP has been completed?

From my understanding:

ROVP = Proves the order is for a person and not the dealer fluffing the books.

these are just specifics that come to mind when i think about it.

why are both mentioned - Rovp submitted by 10/5 and later covp not required?

Well, there it is. Closed in less than a week.

The good news is it seems Ford is cutting off retail orders well in advance of reaching maximum production. Chances should be good that all ordered units will be built, commodities not withstanding.

Literally been waiting for my sales-guy to get my order in and now I see this. I am 100% ok to keep waiting for this truck but I need my order to actually be placed. You would think since I used to work at the dealership they would handle it a bit better, but I guess not.

My dealer shared a screen of my order showing it was ready from scheduling. It has "Unscheduled-Clean" as its status and they tell me that put it at the end of what they can do. So, I'm going to take that as the [C]ROVP being complete.

COVP was the original retail customer ordering system.

I believe ROVP was an enhanced front end system that managed the online reservations introduced for some models. A successful ROVP automatically created a COVP record.
