Hybrid Shudder. Anyone experiencing a shudder shake in hybrid

Mach 1, do you ever drive your truck aggressively, like do any full throttle runs? I read about people having engine warning lights this spring during full throttle runs, and one guy said he did a few full throttle runs and it seemed to help with his concern. I usually drive really short drives, trying to maximize fuel economy, and when I first tried a full throttle run, my truck almost felt like a clutch was slipping badly, and could only get 50-60% on my power gauge -- after I did it a few times, my truck felt better and more responsive, almost like I de-glazed a clutch disc. From the pictures you posted, I almost wonder if people that drive to maximize full economy are the ones who will be seeing the problem, and why it would be a concern that develops over time? Just spitballing here...but a few full throttle runs never hurt anyone, just to see if it helps you guys...
I definitely drive my Hybrid like a little old Lady to achieve 50+ MPG BUT I’m starting to notice a little bit of shuttering so I'll give it a few full throttle runs and see if it helps or makes it worse, And if I have to take to the dealer if the problem gets worse, If asked my response will be what full throttle runs😗

Hi all
My Hybrid XLT Mav has recently started to shudder when I accelerate then take my foot off the gas. The truck shifts to Electric and during that transition I feel a Shudder. Sometimes it's fairly strong, like when you drive over speed caution strips. Other times it's light but perceptible. I'm beginning to believe there is an issue needing a fix. I'm waiting for others to report similar. In all other ways the truck drives great, and I don't want to take it in because of parts shortages, and service personnel shortages. Are others experiencing this - maybe we can get Ford to take an interest in a recall.
Wow, after 5 months and only 3k nothing of the sort. Have to stay tuned thx

Mitchell, it doesnt show up until about 5000m, then at 10k its pretty annoying.

Mymaverick, full throttle runs are just going to push the failure up in time, the springs loosen up over time. The friction disc also starts slipping.

Theres not much to be done to stop it from occurring besides replacement, and then Ford has to revise the damper so it doesnt fail again. Same revision will fail again, i went through this with the dual mass flywheel, (for 10 years, different manufacturers)which is almost exactly the same as this damper thingy(theory of operation).

I have 10,400 miles on my hybrid and nothing remotely close to a shudder. I have a feeling this is similar to the poor wiring harness connector, in that, some will experience it and some will not. So far I am good on both counts. Poor quality control? Inferior materials? Poor engineering? Lousy assembly? I don't know.
..

Its coming, at first i did not notice a thing, remember i am the fuel economy guy, i use alot of the mode change, trying to stay in e mode, i guess my driving style has forced the accelerated wear on the damper, its a bad/weak design, ford will have to redesign it, or we go through this again after replacement.

What about the fellow with a fleet of Mac hybrids who used to post here. Some were high mileage and he made a point of their total reliability.

Had mine since April 22. Other than potential engine compartment fire recall work, I've had absolutely NO issues with mine. Have not noticed anything unusual. Approaching 2050 miles.
Love my truck!

I agree with you - I'm still not convinced it has much to do with the damper. I was sitting in park with ignition on and the ICE came on to charge the battery - after 3 min it went off,.. when it shut down it was very rough shut down.. almost like a run-on car from the 1970s. I thought - hmm I wonder if that is the Shudder I am feeling. But even at that this didn't seem like the damper. More like the engine shut down was not smooth. Yet other times it smooth as silk shut down. I think this is part of the issue.
