Is that any different than XO5W305QSP? This one has no 3 before the SP at the end:

There is a significant difference in price for the 5q jug and in availability for the 1q bottle.

The part number with the 3 is for the 5qt, the part number without the 3 is for the 1qt, per Motorcraft.

I wouldn't buy oil from Amazon for the same reason I didn't buy N95 masks from there: their inventory methods mean they have no way to sort fakes. The product links you posted are sold by two different sellers and even if the jugs were stocked in an Amazon warehouse, they're buying from all sorts of sellers and lumping everything together under the manufacturer P/N. If one of those sellers is counterfeiting motorcraft product you have no way to know.

Just go to wally world, buy the M1 EP, fully synthetic, best price on oil $5 qt. Best oil for money.
The EP gets you 20k protection. A very robust additive package.

You want to keep your OCI under 8k, because the ECOs are DI so u get fuel dillition to the oil. Thins viscosity.

Its just so handy to walk into Wally world.

I just go to the closest autoparts store for non warrantied cars. While it's under warranty I will use motorcraft. I get it from the dealer's service dept. This way they have a record of my oil changes and what oil used. No arguing. I had a Subaru dealer give me a hard time this helps avoid that

Listed..absolutely, pretty much all the manufacturers as well, i could talk about Lexus experience with DI, but thats another story.

Since the fuel gets injected into the CC, you get huge ring wash! Hence the fuel dilution. And more then usual ring wear, long term. Which they have worked out.

Most of the manufacturers have gone to dual induction modes, ford bounces back and forth from DI to intake manifold injection/induction.

It becomes a problem when you don’t drive far enough for the gas dilution to evaporate out. Hot engine oil will allow this to happen. Take a drop of oil that is after a good long trip and put it on a piece of paper.
Next take one after a short trip, cooler oil.
The dilution will show up as a halo around the oil droplet. Hot oil should show very little halo.

Fuel dilution is part of the API cert process and the 2.0 EB isn't a new engine. I don't know what the Ford drain interval is but I bet it's not far from 8k. I wouldn't worry at all

the only difference is the part#. XO5W305QSP supersession leads to to XO5W3053QSP

Guv, the eco is a different engine then in the past, DI. I do OA, on my f150 3.5 Gen 2 I was only able to squeak out 8k. I drive 90% highway and I have the 1.9VW jettas, whereas OCI is 20000m.

The viscosity was at its bottom acceptable level at 8k, all else was fine, additives were all still good. The minimum I drive is .5hr.

Wally world has the oil at a great price for full synthetic.

Guru, not a big show stopper, I am a long interval oil change guy, thru analysis I determined what my intervals are on all my vehicles, I like the VWs 20000m OCI. However ECOs(and alot of other DI engines) are limited on their OCIs. I can live with my 8k, however I would recommend ~7k to most in town people.

The ECOs are very good engine design and have been out just about 15yrs.

Nothing easy about walking into Wally World, nor parking, nor checking out. Prices are cheap, but you pay the price in the form of hassle. Small Town USA may be an exception.

Yes, i need to include those details, i use to do Austin, but now with 2 million people, i dont do that anymore.

Pick a good full syn in 5w-30 with a Motorcraft filter every 5K and you can turn off the worrry switch. Oil is cheap, motors are not.
