Sweet the one thing I wanted on the XL

So is pricing going to be what is on Ford's website or will it increase from that? (trying to figure a rough guess for my build)
Looks like it will be early October before the update Build and Price website is active for the 2023 Maverick. For personal reasons I won't be able to make it to my dealer tomorrow, but I have asked them to send me the dealer guide so I can prep and make my order on Friday.

Because Ford Pass can be glitchy at times. I've had to use my remote start several times when FP didn't work. The little arrow just kept spinning around.
Yep. And also for FordPass to work I believe the Maverick has to be in AT&T LTE range and Ford Pass has a connection to the internet. Not always possible.

Have a 22 First Edition in transit and am hoping there will be a SYNC3 update to add the navigation to it. I am a courier and use nav multiple times everyday.
Same but I am sure it probably won't.

My dealer is calling me to get my order tomorrow. I’ve been on the wait list so I should be one of their first orders placed. I’m going hybrid XLT with trailer hitch and nothing else. Hoping I get it some time in 2023.

Someone on here said they had heard that the moonroof for MY 23 will only be offered on Lariat trim. They said they heard that from 2 different dealers. Does anyone know if that's true. I realize the order guides aren't out yet so probably nobody knows for sure. I doubt I can afford the Lariat trim. Not having a moonroof and sliding back window is a deal breaker for me. I realize it's not for most but it is for me. It's one of the things I was most excited about with the Maverick as most full size truck don't offer the sunroof for lower trim levels. Ideally I would have an XL with moonroof and sliding back window and some type of vinyl seats that were easy to clean if I had my way. I realize vinyl seats will not be an option but hoping the moonroof will at least for the XLT.

Until you have it! I don’t see much attraction to any built In navigation these days. Map Updates are often behind the real world as soon as they are released, not to mention the updates tend to be infrequent and die off all together in a pretty short amount of time. Traffic via travel link is not nearly as real time and on point as using phone. RDS (radio based) like those portable nav screens use is usually better than the sat based (sat prob uses same info but changes don’t seem to happen as quick), but can’t have that in factory nav cause it would take potential travel link subscriptions away. Then the cost of the whole thing…..I guess up front isn’t as bad anymore like In the past, but those map updates still cost a good bit if/when any are ever released. It has its place for those who don’t have nor will ever use a smart phone, and will get you where you are going albeit often times more crude/inefficiently, but a connected setup like android auto/CarPlay is a MUCH better way to go.

on another related note with that Facebook post…that nav w/sync 3 tells me that misfit screen with odd cubby remains, whether it be ongoing temp fix from shortages or permanent design, and no sync 4 which has been around awhile now nevermind the android based Ford was saying they were moving to across their lines. I personally don’t care what it’s running as long as it works well, but it’d be nice if it had the screen that it looks like it should of had or smaller pod for the one it does have vs the current look.
I would like to see a map without having to plug in Android auto to use it- Not a fan of AA-

Can someone tell me what is the floor covering for a Lariat?
I got a gift of weather tech mats and I need to know if I need them with my Lariat.

The following is for the LARIAT Luxury package ONLY.

So, I'm thinking of getting the lariat, But I don't want most of the items in the Luxury Package and for the few Items I do like, I can't see spending 4K+ for those and getting a bunch of stuff I don't want.

If what is posted above is true, I like how they moved the SIBL to a stand alone. I plan on getting it anyway, but hear it's a constraint item and would do it after market anyway.

I also like moving the remote start as a stand alone, as I never use it.

I also like how they moved the ACC, Evasive Steering and rear parking sensors to the CP360 package. This moves ALMOST all the Driver Assist Tech into one, all encompassing "Safety Package". This package is also a stand alone package already, so those that want all the Driver Assist Tech can just get one package and have it all, without needing both the Luxury package AND the CP360 package.

Hopefully, these changes would make the Lux package cheaper and more appealing to purchase in order to get the few items I want.

So, I cut & pasted the current packages from the Ford webpage and created a visual diagram of the changes.

Now, with all that being said, I have a question for you all. I also created a "WISH" list for how I think the packages "Should" be, and also created a visual diagram for that as well.

1. I think ALL the driver assist tech should be move into the CP360 Package. That would require also moving the "Electronic Break Boost" & "Lane Centering" into the CP360. Ultimately creating a De-Facto "Safety package"

2. Making the SYNC3, SiriusXM and B&O sound System a Stand-Alone package. Currently you CANNOT get these without being forced to get the Luxury package. Some people may want better sound, but not the SiriusXM, or whatever. This would allow more freedom of choice.

3. Moving the Heated Mirrors, Heated Seats, Heated Steering Wheel and Windshield Wiper De-Icer into a NEW package called the "Winter/Cold Weather Package", Also as a stand alone package.

4. Keeping ALL current items into one, ALL ENCOMPASSING, Luxury Package, (Minus the SIBL and Remote start, keep those as stand alone items) that would be priced so it's cheaper the get everything as one package, rather then getting all packages individually. Price each individual package with a SMALL markup for profit margin. That would entice people to get the Luxury Package for those that are on the fence and already want 3 or 4 of the 5 packages.

For me, under my "Wish" list, I would get the "Winter/Cold Weather Package" and probably the CP360. I have no need for better sound, SiriusXM or SYNC3. Those are all the items I don't want to speed 4K+ for in order to get heated seats, mirrors and windshield wipers.

Just my completely worthless opinion.

Except supposedly you do need the Lariat Luxury Package for the Assist Package.
