Not a huge deal for me as I was going to add it for under $100 and may get a leather wheel upgrade anyway. Always thought it was a nickel and dime thing with ford on the cruise, prob cost them $10 worth of switches to add it, whatever at least its easy. There is something fishy about the 15% XL constraint, makes me think they are going to be very hard to get for 23.
If it were save money and get you spend more they wouldn’t have put it on xl to begin with . Since the higher you go the more you will spend . Tremor on xl or any extra package like black trim is never going with constraints they have . It’s not like f150 which can separate lot more parts for xls . Like their rattler edition

I've been hearing the order banks will close by month end. So only THEN will the info be available online?

Makes perfect sense. 🤪

Also, so the only real difference between XL and XLT is the wheels (and the exterior keypad, I guess)?? Any wheel option for XL other than steelies, cuz I can definitely live without the external keypad.
Don’t you still get cruise control standard on the XLT?

The probability of getting an XL Hybrid built in 2023 will likely be even lower. Only 35% of all builds can be hybrid, AND only 15% of all builds can be XL, that sums to only 5.25% of all builds being BOTH Hybrid and XL models. Plus or minus a little of course, but still will be a very difficult model to acquire.
Ford is going for the money...in an economy truck they use as a sales hook. Yep...build it your way to get it faster, they say. Beg to differ with their premise..

Ford definitely knows how to put my nuts in a vice grip here.

I just want an XL with ACC, but they're gunna nut crunch like 10K out of my wallet on this Lariat/Lux/new ACC requirement.

Damn I hope they buy me dinner at least.
ACC is great and guarantees a happy arrival -)

Very well said, just was curious as you are one of the more vocal ones ready to order a Mav Tremor as well. I wish you the best of luck in acquiring one! There will be a lot of Tremor orders being placed on 9/15, knowing Ford will only build approx. 8% of 2023 capacity as Tremor models has me hesitant that I will even recieve one. You having Granger's $3000 off makes a big difference as well. I don't have that luxury so the jump from Maverick Lariat Tremor @ MSRP locally vs Ranger Lariat Tremor 3% below invoice from Granger isn't as steep and I might just have to order both and see what arrives first 🤷‍♂️ I have a feeling a loaded up Maverick Tremor Lariat is going to be mighty close to 40k, a discount from invoice would be nice but doesn't sound like anyone's offering that for new orders thus pushing me further toward a Granger Ranger ;)
Yeah a Lariat build is a different animal for sure. I also am not comfortable going over $40K as I would rather have a Black Diamond Bronco at that point. I am really hoping to get in there early as Granger has said that they will only do rollovers till all 22s are built as 23s.

And as my work truck is a Comanche I am a sucker for a small unibody truck with offroad chops.

I love my XLT, but I would have gone XL and saved the money. This is the way it should have been all along.

Sweet the one thing I wanted on the XL

So is pricing going to be what is on Ford's website or will it increase from that? (trying to figure a rough guess for my build)

Arghhhh! Navigation on Sync3 now?! That was really one thing I wanted. Black package is intriguing too. Might say adios to my FE if I can get a good price and swap into a 23. If ventilated seats somehow make it in 24, I'll do it all again lol
Until you have it! I don’t see much attraction to any built In navigation these days. Map Updates are often behind the real world as soon as they are released, not to mention the updates tend to be infrequent and die off all together in a pretty short amount of time. Traffic via travel link is not nearly as real time and on point as using phone. RDS (radio based) like those portable nav screens use is usually better than the sat based (sat prob uses same info but changes don’t seem to happen as quick), but can’t have that in factory nav cause it would take potential travel link subscriptions away. Then the cost of the whole thing…..I guess up front isn’t as bad anymore like In the past, but those map updates still cost a good bit if/when any are ever released. It has its place for those who don’t have nor will ever use a smart phone, and will get you where you are going albeit often times more crude/inefficiently, but a connected setup like android auto/CarPlay is a MUCH better way to go.

on another related note with that Facebook post…that nav w/sync 3 tells me that misfit screen with odd cubby remains, whether it be ongoing temp fix from shortages or permanent design, and no sync 4 which has been around awhile now nevermind the android based Ford was saying they were moving to across their lines. I personally don’t care what it’s running as long as it works well, but it’d be nice if it had the screen that it looks like it should of had or smaller pod for the one it does have vs the current look.

Well they aren't running a charity. No doubt the margins on the base hybrids are razor thin if not nonexistent. But if you want one you can still order one and get it...eventually.

Why do people order remote start?
Because Ford Pass can be glitchy at times. I've had to use my remote start several times when FP didn't work. The little arrow just kept spinning around.

My dealer told me that the remote start has become an separate option because Ford is trying to get customers to use 'the app'. In our house, we favor flip phones so we are happy that remote start is still available in the fob (caveman style).

It's good that they made the SIBL and tie-down rails as free standing. Now I can color match the SIBL without paying it for it twice and it will be better quality than factory.

It was aggravating that many of the 'constrained items' were available through my dealer from Ford Parts and we could have just ordered them after the truck arrived.

We are looking forward to getting it built so it can sit and wait for a rail strike🛤⌚

Have a 22 First Edition in transit and am hoping there will be a SYNC3 update to add the navigation to it. I am a courier and use nav multiple times Google maps with AA and carplay will be way more viable and accurate than any factory Nav. You'll be fine without it.
Google/Apple maps are going to be way better and always supported compared to any factory navigation. If my job depended on navigating google maps via Android auto is the only way i would go.
