LOL, That's awesome! Sorry for saying "guy", I didn't know, lol.
I was the one that started the thread that you originally posted in, and you're the only one that had something pretty much the same as mine, so Yeah, I posted it here as well for context and comparison.
I used generic PVC from...
Thanks.
It's PVC Pipe, made it myself. Just have to do a little measuring, cutting and gluing, but it made for a quick afternoon project. Can't take credit, I just copied & Modified ideas I've seen others do.
I started a thread a while ago on this here...
Thank you
LOL, yeah, I thought about that, but I'm sure that would have pissed off somebody. CoPart has it, I'm not sure how they operate, but I think they buy it from the insurance company and sell they parts for profit.
Damn, that sucks. Sorry to hear that.
Yeah, my dealership is pretty good, but I also made sure I didn't order anything "Constrained". Not sure about your situation though. Hope you get a build date soon.
They other insurance accepted full responsibility.
I got a rental for the time the claim was going through, fully paid for.
I then got paid.
I'm sure the two insurance companies will figure out where the money is coming from.
Not my problem.
My insurance said they will not raise my rates...
Well, I had to go to the yard where they were keeping my Maverick and get some things out of the truck. Took some pics in daylight of what they marked as damaged. If you look at the top-right of the back window, they marked in red that it's cracked. The unibody transferred the energy through the...
Yeah, I wasn't too happy, lol. But #1 I'm OK and #2 I can replace the truck.
The biggest thing for me is all the work; going through the insurance process, ordering a new truck, waiting, dealing with the rental car, waiting, sharing a vehicle with the wife, waiting, getting a used car while I...
Thank you and Yeah, I felt fine at the scene and told the paramedics that. But when I woke the next morning, I felt stiff in the neck and back, so I went to the ER.
As for as it being a shame, that's a double edge sword. Years ago vehicles didn't have as good "crumble zones" and as a result...
Yeah. I was surprised as well. It bent everything AFT of the rear suspension, and nothing got pushed into the rear tires. It was sitting lower in the rear. So I was a little pointed up as I was driving. Wouldn't have gone too far with it, but sense I was so close to home, I just nursed her back.
Got rear ended the other day. Insurance just told me that my MY23 Lariat Lux Hybrid is totaled .
(I figured as much when it happened, so not really surprised)
Bent & creased the bed down.
Bent the under bed rails / frame down
Creased / accordioned the inside walls and both left & right...
I don't know if anybody on here has one or info on it, but a quick Google search came up with this:

There is also a thread in MTC Here...
Looks great! Pretty much exactly the same. I used 90° elbows on the 4 bottom corners so it would fit flush against the side, but same same..
I really like how when the tail gate is in the half-up position, it pushes the bikes forward into the rack. and holds them in better.
You think Ford...
I chose not to have Ford put in the SIBL as it was constrained at the time of order, and I wanted my truck. I plan on having Line X spray one in eventually. They sand the entire bed and fix any rust anyway before application, so I'm not worried about scratches in the bed.
Also, Line X has a...
Thanks.
I used 1/2" PVC pipe with slip fit 90° and "Tee" fittings. Glued it all together once I got the proper fit.
No need to secure the bike rack to the bed. It's only there to hold the bikes upright. When I secured the bikes down with straps, the downward force on the bikes holds the rack...
I plan on getting LIneX installed eventually. When they install SIBL, they scuff up the paint in the bed anyway, so I'm not at all concerned about scratches in the bed.
