I am making one of these for my son and don't have vehicle to confirm. Looks like you used the IPMA/camera connector - which is my plan. Can you confirm that your power takeoffs are going the right direction? In other words, once the harness is plugged in the wires going to the mirror are headed...
Confirmed. Dealer friend shows nothing in repair history for the warranty purchase. And the lightbar replacement that shows as AC Repair in Fordpass shows correctly on dealer site (system called PTS).
As for extended warranty, here is what dealer sees:
So while it doesn't say Granger, it...
It also shows on my online account. So I imagine dealers can see that plus more specific info. But since my dealer also codes repairs as AC Service when they're not; then they likely aren't going to be surprised to see that :) .
EDIT: I think online is just glorified Fordpass (or vice versa)...
Same here. When I emailed about this I got this reply:
Yes, we have to process the transaction somehow through our dealer software system. We have 3 transactions, a service ticket, vehicle sale or parts sale. We process these as a Service ticket because Ford offers a provision to sell a service...
I think you're right. The lower bar seems to be the same between AA and Sync 4. But the upper Status bar definitely has the Sync 4 styling that my Lightning has.
If you go to the Ford page on the new system, looks like they have removed most control knobs on the vehicle there ('24 Nautilus) with a landscape screen. Looks like Sync 4A on the Lightning which has one big knob that has multiple use (volume, temp, seat heat, etc.)...
Right. I was referring to the really old days! My son's 2013 Escape has Sync 2 but is easily upgraded to Sync 3. Should have clarified I wasn't referring to Maverick in particular.
EDIT: It may indeed be Sync 4, see later posts. Bottom bar is same but top bar is Sync 4 style.
This is not Sync 4. This is the new Ford Digital Experience. Ford announced they are ditching Sync and moving to Android Automotive. See more here...
Looks like you all had another good turnout, I enjoyed the last one. Reminder that in anticipation of owning a Mav, I bought the Kia mirror that autodims and has Homelink - there is a big thread on how to install it. If one of you wants it just message me. It's free - just have to come by and...
Won't be there - taking my other son to the Cowboys game for his birthday. But I'm sorry to also have to drop off the group :( since I finally got a Lightning instead :). Once they come out with an all-electric or plug-in Mav I'll be back in the market though. Have fun!
Also, in anticipation of...
I didn't read all 10 pages but for those just tuning in (ha), this applies to the 2023 F150 Lightning - says so right on the referenced page. Go to the Lightning forums and vent anger there (many have). Rumor is AM doesn't do well in electric vehicles. This does not affect the '22 or '23...
I would jump all over that. Selling at MSRP to existing order holders shows they are a decent dealer. Why would you question his motive? You can still keep your existing order and buy this in the meantime. If you win the lottery on the Hybrid (and I agree with others it is a long shot) then use...
The deadline has been pushed to Oct 13th according to Tim. So if you haven't got your confirmation, there is still time. Remember that Ford says COVP is required if you want price protection.
Well he read a Ford memo that said that. See Episode 60. He started reading the memo at the 49 minute mark and at minute 50 gets to the price protection part.
I love composite decking - for decks. The issue here is it has two undesirable qualities. It is not stiff at all, will bend very easily. And second it is much heavier than real wood. I’m thinking a stain grade board with a dark stain to match the bed liner. i saw guy at a meetup who had carpeted...
Can you elaborate? I don’t yet have a Maverick. The 2022’s don’t have maps/navigation. So what exactly are you telling your insurance company about?
