I think you're right. The lower bar seems to be the same between AA and Sync 4. But the upper Status bar definitely has the Sync 4 styling that my Lightning has.

Right. I was referring to the really old days! My son's 2013 Escape has Sync 2 but is easily upgraded to Sync 3. Should have clarified I wasn't referring to Maverick in particular.

Yep in the old days you could upgrade from Sync 2 to Sync 3 by changing out APIM and screen. Who knows, may still be able to do it.
