My dealer informed me that these so called orders will be done online only. Not only do I not believe him, but I will march myself to that dealer on the day in question & make my MY2023 in his presence
Online yes but online at the dealer.

You may want to re-read tat Ford email
Yep...........bolding/underlining mine.

- If we cannot build your current order and you’d like to convert it to a 2023 Maverick -
Understanding you may not be able to take delivery of your 2022 Maverick order, we will be making a special private offer discount available beginning in August to those customers whose orders go unscheduled. This private offer may be applied towards the order and purchase of a 2023 Maverick. Please consult with your Ford dealer beginning in August when the 2023 model year Maverick order bank opens to understand more details about this special private offer.

You wrote, "my order would roll over to the MY23 and there was no need to reorder."

The email does not mention anything about roiling over or reordering.

You aren't replying to who you think you are replying to. I'm the guy supporting your claim that they wont roll over and will need to re-order. :)

This automatic rollover vs. reorder issue has been confirmed so many times and by actual dealers I find it hard to believe it is still being debated. o_O

Something dog related. :poop:
I think it is more likely to be Bull-related.

I'm not really surprised there is so much confusion about the process and these emails. People, in general, have a hard time reading for comprehension. Additionally, we are all guilty to one extent or another of thinking that because something "should be" a certain way that it is in fact that way.

It really would make more sense for Ford to convert all unfilled 2022 orders to 2023 automatically and then have a window for modifications or cancelations before they open the order banks for new orders. Since that makes sense an awful lot of people are going to assume it is reality even though there has been no statement from Ford that actually says that. Add in the vague emails that don't actually say anything that many people have a hard time understanding/reading for comprehension and here we are.

One thing this "new order process" has taught everyone on MTC is how the system works. The dealers that try to screw over people will not be around very long. We know as much as them now (some cases more)so go forth and get your FAIR deals!
Hopefully Ford will learn if they want to go move from dealer stock to retail order modus operendi they need to fix this entire process.
