So you got the vehicle below invoice, an extra $750 off at delivery and you're NOT satisfied with the end of the deal because of a small mixup with an add-on accessory? Many of us paid @ or above MSRP for ours, so I think you still came out pretty good. I also don't see what's preventing you from removing the window vents and buying/installing your own bug shield with all that extra money you saved. Sure, you might get pennies on the dollar reselling the used window vents, but it seems like the easiest solution to me.While the several apologies from Granger are appreciated, having the problem resolved at the beginning would have been better. Instead Im left worse off and not satisfied at the end of the deal, with an unwanted option installed and me still on the hook for the price of the hood deflector.
There also has got to be a paper trail where this mistake originated; is it something you overlooked and Granger then submitted the order with the wrong accessory? Or did Ford send the wrong accessory and dealer installed anyway? Something isn't adding up; what accessory was on the order form that you signed off on than Granger would have submitted? I can't foresee a dealer intentionally submitting an order that is different from what you would have signed off on. Regardless, seems like a pretty minor detail be unsatisfied over.
