Sounds like you are trying to convince yourself that you made the right decision based on the delay vs the utility of CP360. I have it on my Lariat and it is pretty comprehensive and works very well. Granted you need to make some adjustment to get it setup the way you prefer, but it's a no brainer these days and times the way people drive.
IIRC what you get on the lariat (lux?) is better than what you get with the straight cp package on a base xlt. I could be wrong but with regard to how CP360 actually functions, I did make the right decision. For me. YMMV. Are you trying to justify your purchase of a lariat with cp360?

I didn't order it with mine, never had it before and don't need it now. Fancy pants electronics: One more thing to fix when it breaks

My Blis and cross traffic have worked perfectly - as well as any I have used. No "misses" yet.

My only complaint even remotely related is the lack of spotter mirrors, but that is missing from all cars with blind spot monitoring it seems.

Interesting, I was impressed when I got my mav a few weeks back and it had blind spot mirrors built in. I figured it was something I got with the lux package but I'm guessing its standard with all of those without CO360?

Only XLT and Lariat. XL w/o CP360 don't get blind spot mirrors.

Too late for me to justify it now. It's paid for and has 10,00 plus miles on it. Then again I wouldn't go for anything but the Lariat. Glad you are happy with your choice, not the choice I would have made, but hey.. to each his or her own.

I’ve never used the fords system and his description is a little vague but to me it sounds like he is turning on his blinker before/as he is passing somebody, basically while a car is still in his blind spot, and thus the car is alerting him that if he was to move over now he would collide with another vehicle.

I think way back in the day I was taught when changing lanes to put on your blinker before you even check your mirrors or blind spot which is probably going to result in lots of dinging. According to my quick Google search this is still taught today, I’m not really sure why but my personal habit is to check mirrors -> blinker -> mirrors -> blind spot -> change lanes which I feel like seems more logical and should prevent the system from notifying you for no reason.
"Blinkers! We don't need no stinkin' blinkers!!" LOL! I learned to drive in Houston, and it seemed that the message a blinker sent was for the cars behind you to speed up to not let you in ;) I learned to blink and turn at the same time to prevent this ;)

It's amazing how many people look at turn signals as a means to request permission to change lanes, instead of actually being a means to show your intent. Because of that, I'm sometimes reluctant to use signals when I want to change lanes. Not saying I don't use them, but...

I'd order it on my Maverick if this was pre cooties but it is not so for me my one big constraint, the LUX package, will be enough. Seems to be worth the bucks.

I thought Copilot 360 was a no brainer but from this guy's review has me thinking about cancelling it on my order. 1:40ish in the video. Looking for people's opinions one way or the other? Thanks!

The only option to add on your new Maverick in my opinion is the $100 trailer hitch everything else is a waste of money better to buy after market, And all those Bells and whistles electronics are just more headaches down the road Not to mention expensive when the warranty runs out for repairs
