I got my VIN & Build date from my dealer rep last week. Today I called Ford Customer Service and asked for a status on my truck. They confirmed I have a VIN, Build date AND gave me an "ETA" date as well? Had not heard of that before from a CSR- but it's about 2 weeks after my build date so I expect it is way off...lol

The other thing was she asked if I got an email notifying me of the build date. I said, nope only my confirmation email after ordering and I think 2 emails warning about delays due to constraints and options on that. She said let me check something... and it turns out the main page of my account has my correct email address in a box plainly visible, but when she would change screens to look for other info on my order the email box would be empty- so she entered it manually and saved it. Said a lot of people weren't receiving emails because the email box was only filled on main page and it's required to add it elsewhere. Now recently I saw a reference to lack of emails from Ford if your dealer doesn't know there is more than 1 location they need to fill in your email, and I wonder if that was the case for me too?
I recently got a VIN and a build date from Ford Chat....still no email from Ford, though. The communication is nil. You get scheduled, which should be a victory lap for Ford after all the waiting, and they miss the opportunity to give you the news via email as expected. There isn't even enough communication to take credit when something does go right.
Yes, the dealer has to put in your email in a specific place (in WBDO) in order for you to get these status email updates from Ford. It isn't mandatory to have the customer email there. And the updates are a new feature, so I assume that this is commonly overlooked by dealers.

Or the dealer put the email in the right spot....but there is a glitch in the database that causes no email to be sent to you.

I too have not even gotten one email. So you inspired me to call 800 434-4375. She checked for me and said there is a box that needs to be checked to allow Ford marketing to use the email. She asked for permission to check the box for me, Did you use this same phone number?..... I have seen the wbdo at the dealer and I was definitely approved. Still makes me uneasy not receiving any of the emails. Please Let me know if that's the same number you called.

I have been using 1-800-392-3673. When my dealer created my order in WBDO, they had me review it, then sign at bottom, where there are also lines for your phone # and email address. I filled those out and they made me a copy and put original in my file at dealership. From what I understand WBDO is fairly new and replacing the long time data base that all dealerships had been using. Gotta expect some learning curve as they all gain experience with it. Good Luck!

A "Special Private Offer." Could this be any more cheesy? Do I have to know the super secret Ford handshake to get it? What is with all the last minute secrecy here? Is there any real plan or is Ford just making this up as they go? How about a well-thought-out plan with clear instructions to both customers and dealers as to how this will work? 😫

Just reading through these posts that people are being told by customer service one thing, the dealer not having a clue (probably due to Ford) and Ford sending mystery emails is hilarious.

I haven’t called customer service because who knows what is really going on. Again I have my popcorn and will enjoy the show as this saga continues 😁

With Ford's record, they'll mishandle their privates! No one waited in line to see that. 😢

Maybe I missed it but do we have any clue about this “Special private offer” for the 2022 orders that are being moved to 2023?

What will it be and when will we hear from Ford?

I will be traveling during August 2 and want to get my ducks in a row with my dealer.

Thanks!
This is what my dealership said yesterday, said my 2022 order will roll over to 2023. Ford customer service said need to reorder on the August 2nd. Wanted to know if I could update my order from XL to XLT. Ford customer service said that we get a price lock on 2022 and any increase Ford would repay the dealership the money.
Dont know what’s true anymore, but feels like I’m getting * uck .

The special offer is regional...I know for a fact in the Southwest Ohio region, you will pay 2023 prices for your Mav, but you do get a $100 gift certificate to your choice of White Castle or Skyline Chili. Yum! Thanks Ford!
Don't worry about the calories on these meals...you won't be holding onto it for long! :poop:
Unless you ordered an eco boost….for that you get a coupon to GoldStar Chili!

The other thing we most likely lose are the great incentive rates from 22. No more 0% , 0.9% or even 1.9%.
I think I'm locked in at 1.9%. Which is great.

Well i am ok with special offers as long as i get to stay in line where my order is now. ordered 10/16/21 and not have to get in the back of the line because i am on the west coast and everyone east of my dealer that orders in the
am of 8/2.
i would hope FORD uses or original date as to new projection lineup.
I agree, but @fordvideoguy was talking about getting his orders in early at 8 AM or before. This would be another slap in the face of West coast buyers if true that it makes a difference as to time of day 22's are reordered. My dealer still has limited knowledge of the process, said he would be in to dealership about 10:30 in the morn. That means my order will be 6-7 hours behind an east coast order.

Do you guys really think having your order in a few hours ahead of someone else is going to matter? How well has that worked out for MY22?

Makes sense for original MY22 unscheduled orders to be FIFO ahead of MY23 new orders on 8-2, but this is Ford.........🤣
