Make mine Oxford White, Thanks!
After seeing an Oxford White Maverick and an A51 Maverick (XLT's) I've decided to change the color on my upcoming order from Carbonized Gray to Ox White!
I've been a little unhappy with all of the XLT base colors in pictures (except Ox White) because they look flat and therefore bland to me. I am not a person to do much polishing and detailing!
I think Oxford White is the only base color that looks great with the stock gray XLT mags, so I will save a grand on aftermarket wheels! Additionally, I will be able to use $109 stock black steelies (Tire Rack) for my winter tires, without the truck looking too hideous (for me at least).
I've never owned or even considered a white car or truck, so I'll see if I like it after it arrives sometime in the future!
I realize color is mostly or merely a personal preference, so if you disagree with my color choice - That's Cool!
Happy Maverick-ing.

Photos do a bad job of showing color I've seen. Got Area 51 and was nervous how it sometimes looked dull in photos. Not true in person.

I don't think resell value - especially in this market - is a concern for a Maverick of any color.

I got Hot Pepper Red in part because I get tired of black/gray/silver/white variations. Car lots are all black/gray/silver/white with an occasional maroon thrown in. That's also why I got my Expedition in green. In 6 years of owning the Expedition, I've seen one other one --- drove by me on a freeway in Chicago or somewhere.
Having said that, because of sun and heat gain, I understand the benefits of white.

Does the exterior color really make a difference in the heat inside a car? I don't imagine it does but it could... Or you could have meant something else and I missed it completely.

I think at the end of the day any of the colors will sell well. As they say in the car business there is a seat for every ass and an ass for every seat. :)

I have seen studies that claimed that white vehicles have the lowest night time accident rate because they are the most visible at night. I find that my white SUV tends to look cleaner since most road grime is a light grey that does not show up. I once had a dark red car that always looked dirty and now try to avoid owning a dark car because of that and I live in the south where a dark car is noticeably hotter in the summer. One problem with my white SUV is that it can be hard to find in a large parking lot because there are so many white SUVs. I have a pre-order in for a Velocity Blue Maverick because to me it is the least boring color without an extra charge.

White is the best color if you don;t wash your truck. It hardly shows the dirt and always looks good.

Bright colors typically retain more value in the current sea of white, grays and black. For the Maverick, Cyber Orange, Hot Pepper red, or velocity blue.

Carbonized Grey Metallic has metal flake in it, not flat at all. Looks incredible in person, especially if clean.
