I certainly believe our orders are in the penalty box for some reason or another. I hope, that come the new MY, the penalty time expires and allocations return to the 30/month or so we used to see. With this belief, I will let my order ride with Horsham. -- unless we hear that we will not carry any priority being transitioned from MY22.

I will likely place another (new) order with a local dealer.
Maybe too many folks bailed on their orders leaving them below the 75% threshold Tim Bartz has mentioned?

That's exactly what I was going to say. While watching his stream earlier, it made me think that. I know they have sold a lot with ADM so I wonder if that causes them to lose allocation. I know Long McArthur has also sold a lot recently with ADM, but maybe they just had more orders picked by their original buyers.

I honestly hadn't given this a lot of thought, but it certainly seems like a plausible explanation for the long lack of scheduling for Chapman. Of note during Tim's video last night at the 49 minute mark he discussed the specific actions Ford was taking against dealers who dropped below that 75% number:
"First strike" - lose allocations for 1 month
"Second strike" - lose allocations for 3 months
"Third strike" - lose allocations for 1 year.

I could see where it would be challenging to get 75% of people who ordered over the web, with no deposit required, and potentially planned to travel for pickup, to actually complete their transaction. Especially when some folks decided to just pay ADM rather than wait for their unscheduled ordered vehicle (or just bought something else altogether).

Yeah and I wonder if they 75% applies monthly or if it is overall. Like do they have to do 75% for that month or is it a running total. If it's a running total I could see them getting screwed, which could possibly cause them to miss a couple months and therefore lose allocation for 3 months which seems about how long it has been since they received some. Just speculating.

If that's the case, you would think they would change their order process for MY23 to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Given the old way that allocations awarded to dealerships seemed to be purely based upon sales volume, it's easy to understand why dealers like Chapman & Granger would offer "below invoice" deals like ours, to drive up their numbers. In the past, it's my understanding the dealer wasn't really held to ensuring the sale went to the original order, so when people cancelled it just meant the dealer could add an ADM and make even more money on the order (as well as boost their sales numbers to drive up future allocations). Now that Ford is more strictly enforcing the name-tracing, dealerships would certainly need to adjust their processes to ensure they stay "compliant".

Notably, Tim mentioned that they had outright cancelled 10 of their 591 orders because they knew the original buyer had decided not to complete the deal. This must have been tough, given the temptation/opportunity to make thousands in ADM markup, but they wisely realized it would hurt their overall conversion numbers and potentially jeopardize their allocations.

Well done.
That is a great theory.

And now, we have an answer for "why do dealers insist on deposits for orders"?

Maybe too many folks bailed on their orders leaving them below the 75% threshold Tim Bartz has mentioned?

Just received a reply to my inquiry late last night. My June 2021 order has (finally) been assigned to Production for the week of 9/5. Also just checked on my hard roll-up bed cover that I bought last year. It will finally get put to use.
