So I am having an interesting issue. Seems like it happens to other models when you swap in digital clusters. I am currently out of town but I have been getting deep sleep messages, I though it was my audio system but it turns out my clusters backlight is turning on after my mav has been sitting 15-20 minutes after I walk away from it. Never noticed it before since when you open the door the cluster automatically wakes up or I unlock it which wakes it up as well.

Has anybody else been getting the deep sleep message?

After poking in other forums it seems to be that the cluster is looking for an automatic parking brake message from the BCM.

Once I get back I am going to look into it but wanted to see other people input on it.

How do you remove the gauge cluster trim? If I wanted to start removing the cluster.

Its cool I got this:

1. lower the steering column

2. grab the lower middle section of the cluster trim and pull it up. it has faux leather attached to it. this will expose two bolts on the bottom of the gauge cluster..

3. take out both bolts at the bottom left and right of the cluster.

4. grab the left side of the cluster trim and pull it toward you - should pop out easy.

note: keep an eye out for the rubber pieces at the end of the cluster - there should be 4 of them - light gray.

5. get a flathead screwdriver and use it to pop out the right side tab - can be tricky - pics below:

that tab is a dickhead - but you cannot pull it out without the screwdriver.

5. pop the left vent out:

optional - remove the two bolts at the bottom of the steering wheel trim - this will loosen the upper steering wheel trim and let you pop it off- note it brings the center lower cluster trim piece and faux leather piece with it.

7. unbolt the 2 upper bolts on the cluster

8. finagle the left side of the cluster past the remainder of the left air vent trim.

9. cluster should be free.

note: there is a comfy amount of slack on the cluster cabling allowing you to set it on the dash (just make sure no scratch dash).

I'm getting a AWD fault service error.

I think it's due to a setting change I don't remember making when I added deep snow/rut more and traffic sign .

Is the trail control setting in the ipc supposed to be enabled or disabled? Also this setting is in ipma or bodymodule, should it say non present or present ?

Finally got my truck back after repairs. Only for a short while since I am having an issue with the rear window no longer working.

Now that there are a couple of people with escape clusters. What DTC's do you have after swapping the cluster in?

I have 3 DTC that I can't figure out that go away when I plug in my original cluster. The one about the vehicle dynamic switch is the one for the Traction control button that no longer works after the swap. The other 2 are more concerning specially since I need to take it in for warranty work.

The DTC's below only appear on the Ford PTS. When I scan the DTC through forscan I get all the ones below except the Active grill shutter one.

Anybody have similar problems(Don't worry about the Daytime running light one. I am working on figuring out how to get DRL from the center light only and not the headlight)

Funny...other than no traction control on/off... I have no issues/DTCs...at all.
Is the cluster properly programmed with your base as-built data and THEN tweeked for any additional cluster functions?

I just installed my escape cluster and I now only have one drive mode (as well as traction control not turning on/off)

I've had the 12" IPC for about 500 miles now without issues, but have the following DTC's that dont seem to effect anything.

U0100 - Lost Communication WIth ECM/PCM A
U0111 - Lost Communication With Battery Energy Control Module A

Would be great to clear them, just to get rid of it.

Man, I'd really like to do this swap but it seems like people are having WAY to many issues still to make it worth while.
It's a new truck and the people in this thread are the first adopters and troubleshooters. I've had my digital cluster on now for 8,000 miles. No issues other than what I mentioned on the previous page which doesn't really affect anything. Most of the bugs are figured out and it's just the last mile stuff to make it perfect. We don't have a forscan spreadsheet like the other models, so we are left figuring out what works and doesn't work.
