I’ve never received a ford email, promotional or other wise. I rely on customer service for information which is vague at best. I can’t change my order cause I’m priority 2, can’t build my truck cause of constraints. No way my dealership will know how to handle private offers and convert it to a 23. Hopeless
You can make changes to a priority 2 order. They make the changes, before submitting they change the priority to 10, then submit. After it is submitted, they need to email their Ford Rep, the order number, body code, name and that it needs to go back to outright priority 2. Within 24 hours it will be updated to a priority 2. I've probably made 2 dozen changes to priority 2 orders.

Thanks Tim, will bring this to my dealerships attention this week.

Just once after one of these emails I'd like to say "My dealer contacted me and..." instead of crickets.

Do we know if we can order the MY23 early in August before the orders open up for everyone else? Or do we have to wait until the 16th.

The reason they won’t do that is constraints. To illustrate with 100% made up numbers say they can build a 1,000 trucks a month but only have 400 hybrid motors available. They could schedule 400 2022 hybrids but the remaining production might be 2023 turbos because they are not going to just let the factory sit idle the other 60% of the time.

Same applies to any constraint items. If you load your order with constraints the odds of it getting built drop rapidly.

What Ford shouldn‘t do is build 2023 trucks in the exact same configuration as 2022 orders regardless of dealer allocations. And I think a lot of folks around here are afraid they are going to do exactly that. Remember one key fact- you are not Ford’s direct customer, the dealer is.

Correct the email is generated when the dealer submits the order into the WBDO ordering system. Ford will not look at your order for scheduling or build with the ROVP approval. 5th bullet point down on this section. By the way, this memo came out back a year ago. It has ALWAYS been the rule. I did a video on it September 18th.

ROVP Approval Needed.jpg
It may be Ford's rule but it is nothing more than a cop out by Ford and is just plain wrong. The customer should not be penalized because of Dealer error. They should schedule ASAP and if that is not possible they should offer a large discount to the customer for a 23my.

Well this thread has been beat to death. I never got the email. XLT, Lux, 360. Original Order Late Aug 21. I have a vin but order keeps getting pushed back. Latest production date is Jul 25th... I'm assuming I will actually get my MY22 truck. But maybe I'm overly optimistic.

I didn't load my order up with "constraints", I loaded it up with "Features".

I am finished with FORD and will never look at any of their vehicles in the future. I feel that I have purposely been strung along and mislead/deceived through this entire garbage process.
Yes you will. Every time you pass a Maverick on the road you will wonder "What if?" "Should I...?"
Too bad Ford selected you alone to be "strung along".

I’ll be curious to see whether Ford will have slimmed down components, options and accessories for MY23 Mavericks as to what was “available” on the MY22 Maverick I had ordered. I guess I’ll not be able to order the Co Pilot or components that were in my original Lariat Luxury package. Maybe the MY23 Lariat luxury will be the equivalent of the MY22 XL.
Nervous about slimmed down options as well. So did print of what was in the 500a and the Lariat Lux pkg. Want everything but can do without the SIBL and the Stop & Go provide that still can get the Adaptive Cruise Control.

Can you explain the numbered priority system? Thanks!

I'm not Tim, but I can answer this fairly well. When you order your Ford from the dealer, the dealer should give you a priority number of 10-19 within a day or two. Most receive an order confirmation from Ford, but not everybody does. A higher number than 19 is not an ordered vehicle. Most of us start out at 19. When the dealer feels it's time for your car to be considered for manufacturing it gives your order a 10 priority. Then a Ford rep for that area looks at it and moves it to a 2 priority when they want it to be considered for a vin by the manufactuer in Mexico for the Mav. No changes can be made by the dealer once it is designated a 2 priority unless it is changed back to a 10 and then changed back to a 2 by the area rep. Once you are a 2 you are seriously being considered for a build. If you have constrained items on your order you may be passed over many times. Some have been a priority 2, but their orders were not submitted correctly by the dealer and will continue to be passed over. So, you want to be a priority 2 with an approved order. This is where you go to the dealer and ask to see the rovp or covp to be sure it is an approved order if you are not positive it is. Actually, the sooner the better on seeing the order is really approved. Tim has shown what the rovp looks like on this thread on page 25.

For those that might have missed it in the other thread, here is the e-mail that is going out today.

I too received this email. I'm going to wait for the order bank to open in August. Might of as well, get the customizations on a 23 hb Mav than a "possibly" 22 base model.

I received that email last Wednesday as well, but before I had checked my email, my salesman called me to let me know that he checked his ordered after another customer has let him know about the email. Luckily I was selected for a build will of August 22 and I now have my VIN.

My order was confirmed 8/19/21 and had several constraints on it. I'm getting a hybrid XLT with Lux, moonroof, sprayin liner, and maybe CP360. I had called a month or so to drop the 360 after I got that multiple constraint email and I'm not clear if it was dropped or not.
