Aside from what will be needed for whatever truck cover I get, I'm going just just have cables, first aid kit, and then my knock-off iFixIts for when I'm screwing around away from home.

I will carry a grounded extension cord, air compressor, speed jack, and T-style tire iron.

For 5 years I will let Ford come rescue me. I rarely go more than 40 miles from home. I have a 5 cell aluminum flashlight and many Swiss Army Knives that will transfer to the new vehicle. No intention of carry 95% of my life with me. Folks, this is a small truck. I know some folks need to carry more for special needs.

I forgot a glove compartment full of excess fast food napkins.

Do you think the 400W inverter in the bed will be enough to power a small plug in tire inflator, not a pancake compressor mind you.

I already have an inflator with a 12V plug but it is insufferably slow.

That and a good tire plug kit. It's got me and others out of many jams in the past.

Probably will, just check the power specs and buy accordingly

Not necessarily a tool, but I keep a couple of quality ratchet straps and a few bungee cords in the vehicle, helpful when something needs to be restrained.

HRG
I keep a variety of tie-downs of different strengths...round bungees, EPDM bungees, camlock straps, and ratchet straps. Sure, you can use 3000lb straps to hold your couch down, but you're just wasting time and effort. I keep 300lb camlocks and 400lb ratchet straps. I only use ratchet straps when I can't get a good pull on the camlocks.

I'd get a decent 12v inflator or one powered by a power tool battery. I have the ViAir 88P. It'll inflate my F-250's tires from 20PSI to 50PSI in about 5 minutes a tire. Definitely not as fast as shop air, but it gets the job done.

I also have the Ryobi One+ 18v tire inflator. It's slower than the 88P, but it's more convenient since I don't have to plug it into the truck's battery and run an air hose. I use it to top off the air, even at home. Beats dragging an air hose from the compressor.

Nah a serial killer also has hog farms and deep bogs, maybe some old dry wells on a map.

grandad was a hog farmer, when Obsay they eat everything, they eat everything. I have seen them get into the deer processing area on his farm and eat the friggin bones my uncle was saving for carving on just to get to the marrow.

Swiss army knife and duct tape. Maybe a stick of chewing gum for the foil wrapper.

I am starting to think (not because of your post, just in general) we need old school aluminum foil. The kind without the tiny holes in it so as to make our hats out of. I am thinking maybe even a proper copper mesh faraday cage ;)
