    I was thinking the same thing. Why are people referring to this truck as a female? I read an online post about the Maverick. They said that Ford is calling it a compact truck so that it doesn't cannibalize the Ranger which is just a little bit larger.

    It is a clear film that covers front of hood and a portion of the front fenders. It helps prevent paint chipping.
