Over the Shoulder Ford Maverick XL Cruise Control Installation

Hey guys, I already posted this on Reddit, but almost instantly, I was asked to share it here as well! So, as previously mentioned, those who have or are considering getting a Ford Maverick may be disappointed to know that Factory Cruise Control is not standard! Please know that Factory (OEM) cruise control is pre-existing in the ECU of all 2021+ Ford Maverick XL both EcoBoost and Hybrids models. Although this information has been out there for a while, many of my friends who are not into tuning and DIY car stuff keep calling me because they find it hard to implement. So, I have taken the information posted here by @Maverick2022XL, made a few updates, and "tried" to create a video that makes this procedure easier to implement.

I hope this is helpful, and please comment and let me know how I can make videos more informative for non-car guys and girls. I have the terrible habit of going into technical rants and sometimes losing track of the audience.

...no the vehicle needs to be equipped with forward-looking radar. After removing the entire front facia I was not able to locate the open plug where the sensor plugs in. There have been some rumors that it is possible with CoPilot but CoPilot does not have forward-looking radar either, just left and right and it is inside the mirrors, so I have no ideas how they were able to accomplish it! You can turn it on in the software but that does not mean it works when the car in front of you slows down. Let's say it was possible, parts alone are over $600 as per my calculation. To be honest I can do without it!

Thanks for your Video and all your instructions. I followed them really well and got the switches in without too much trouble, but are having issues with the codes. Here is what I tried to do:

Cruise control configuration for a 2022 Maverick XL

• SCCM (as BUILT) ,724-02-01 1258 4820 3030 Save before changing
• ABS Option #2 Cruise Control" Save before changing
• BdyCM Module Configuration (BUILT) 726-04-05 0000 0000 8872 Save before

The first one went well, but the second one I can't find the ABS in my module choices. So I decided to try the third one, but when I try to save the 8872, it looks like a module reset and it gives me an error and it doesn't save. Do you think it might be because I may not have ABS? I have the 2022 Maverick basic XL Ecoboost. Any ideas on what codes I can use, if there any.

All the functions from the two new switches are working, except the Cruise control ones. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

.... sounds like ForScan is not loading the entire menu!
Consider changing the hex instead of doing the check box option.

LOOK for ABS LINE 760-03-02 and the hex to the following
0200 0000 0573

Thanks so much for this Mr Cuban Redneck. Your page and video were a perfect match for my XL and it went off without a hitch (unlike your airbag clip issue lol).

The only thing that tripped me up was getting to the 'edit' portion of the computer stuff and not having a license yet. I didn't expect that.

But, really, I work in tech support and I think you did a great job for a tutorial video.
