Anybody notice wind noise coming from upper driver window / left side windshield.

Would bug shield or window deflectors pkg help reduce noise??

I haven't noticed excessive wind noise in my Lariat Lux. Have been driving at speeds over 80 mph.

I have, my drivers door right next to my ear has a whistling whooshing sound like if you have the window cracked slightly but with less volume, same tone and sound though…Tried closing the door harder and making sure the window is all the way up…checked all the seals and gaskets on door and body everything seems fine…don’t want take it to the dealership and have them poking around. I have an XLT hybrid so I do have those insulators between fender and engine compartment I remember pulling up on them a little when I got the truck trying to seal the hole at the top of them but it’s not doable so maybe I’ll push them back down and see what that does…

I feel the same but it’s been a while since I’ve thought about it so i may have gotten used to it.

I do agree it is faint and comes up around 45-55mph and kinda mixes with thewindshield wind noise, maybe I’m just being anal…will report back after adjusting insulators and checking seals gaskets again…

I haven't sat in my passenger seat much, I wonder if it could be wind noise on either mirror and that sound kinda feels like it's "in the door"?

Yes we have the wind noise coming farther passenger Side door. It’s intermittent but is very perceptible. We only have 200 miles on the truck and we’ll save this issue along with any others when we go to the dealership for oil change.

The sides of the vehicles do seem a little bit louder from wind noise than the windshield. It doesn't seem like leaky seals or anything, just like the air buffets against the sides after being directed around the front end.
I got used to it pretty quick, the truck is actually a little quieter on the interstate than I expected.

So big development, those foam insulators in the fender that block off the engine bay play a huge role…I had originally tugged up in the top of them to fill the gap like my first or second day of ownership, big mistake that’s what caused the higher pitch whistling noise, they are meant to sit flush with the bottom…so I pushed them down again made sure they were sealed at the bottom and sides by looking through open door crack and from under hood and also popped off the trim badge plastic panel on the fender…better than lifting the car up taking a wheel and fender liner off….took her on the highway and sound gone…now it’s just the normal wind noise that blends in with wind noise coming off windshield….very quiet and bearable unlike before…so if anyone has some uncommon wind noise check those insulators make sure they are flush bottom and sides and that the indentations are lined up and pushed against the bolts….when you look you’ll know what I mean..

So the sound came back not sure if wind knocked the insulator out of place or a bump in the road jostled it or broke the seal or maybe it’s just the aerodynamic design and there’s a dead spot where wind is hitting a vacuum and buffeting against the glass at this point I’ll just live with it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Noticeable wind noise for me around the drivers window. Although this noise occurs only when driving into a headwind. IMVHO there seems to be a Venturi effect being created between the inner part of the mirror housing and the drivers window.
From Google.

What is the Venturi effect simple terms?

The Venturi effect is a case where fluid flows through a tube that is narrow. The velocity of the fluid increases as it flows through the narrower tube while the pressure decreases, due to conservation of energy. The effect is an example of Bernoulli's principle.

Air is a fluid as it contains moisture. AKA relative humidity.

Thought I had heard early on that some Mavericks had a defective door seal.

To help isolate the problem cut a piece of paper 3/4” wide and 11-12” long. Insert it in the window, put the window up all the way, grasp both ends of the paper and try to pull it back and forth. Do that along the entire upper length of the side windows if needed to identify any area not fully sealed.

That will help isolate a problem with the window seal area, not the door seal.

Good luck..

This is what you need:

and 3M gasket adhesive for the corners and ends. Used it ony Edge now 75mph sounds like prior 60mph.
