My service guy just gave me generic advice but really, what more could he do, just note when it happens and he was going to do some research. I’ll for sure let ya’ll know if anything new occurs and I assume y’all will do the same! Thanks for the replies. Peace!

I've put almost 4000 mi on my Hybrid 2.5L XL Hybrid and simply love this truck! However about 4 times when you first take off the motor will be revving high, sort of like when the choke would be on but then after a minute or 2 it slows down, usually normally but a few times it makes a big shudder, shakes the whole truck before the engine slows down!

Anyone else experience this?

I don’t have mine yet, but have you applied all available software updates?

Thankyou for that! I don’t even pretend to know how this system works as it seems at times like it’s the motor shutting off but it can’t be because I’m going around 25mph but other times it has happened when I’m almost or just stopped! More time needed I guess! It’s a fantastic journey as we love this truck! It’s truly Awesome!!!

Just happened to me yesterday, accelerating lightly from a stop up an incline, hit about 30kmh and then there was this gadawful vibration from the front end for a full second until I lifted off the gas. It was like transmission slipping or something. The whole car shuddered quite badly and then everything was fine.

Happened once for me at about 190 miles. The wife was driving and was doing one of her "rolling stops" going about 2feet/second took foot off brake and said "it died" then pushed the start/stop button (side note she was under impression that she had to hold the button down until screen shows "Ready" so I'm not sure she turned it off and back on??). I am going to speculate here that the shudder occurs when the ice is starting whether the gear set is at rest or moving at any speed (20-35-? mph) and there is an anomaly in fuel supply. Does anyone know how injector timing is handled at starting of ice and if this could be related?? I do not know.

No luck from the service department on mine even though they had the truck for about a week. "Unable to replicate" as I half expected but I've been keeping an eye out for it hoping to be able to troubleshoot the conditions in which it occurs to narrow it down some and provide useful data.

Good looking out and Thankyou for the feedback! Took mine in today for oil change and memorialized the Big Shudder and all we can do is wait and see.

Yes, I took it in to the Ford Dealer.

My Hybrid also started having mild vibration about a month into ownership during on/off cycle. A few times it vibrated pretty rough. No error codes for the rough vibration and the dealership said the mild vibration is normal. Maybe normal for Ford Maverick :/
